96/100 on a 186 pointer \:p I wish I would get some of those higher point folders that don't take as long as these 186 pointers \:p

Not sure where to post this, so here goes.

Folding@Home Breaks the PetaFLOP Barrier

..."PetaFLOP is such a great word. It perfectly straddles (as few other technical terms can) the borderline between scientifically impressive and downright silly simultaneously.

Strictly defined as a quadrillion Floating Point Objects per Second, a petaFLOP is also an amount of processing power roughly equal to every man, woman and child on earth each possessing the ability to perform 75,000 basic math equations in their heads at the same time -- in other words, a whole lot of computing power.

For Stanford's ambitious Folding@Home Project, the milestone of one full petaFLOP of throughput has long stood as a crazy-optimistic goal... The kind of benchmark that disease research scientists go to bed dreaming about. Well, as of today Stanford is pleased to finally announce that the power of over 600,000 registered PS3 Cell processors has at last managed to kick Folding@Home through the 1 petaFLOP goalpoasts. And there was much rejoicing."...

I could put folding on my iMac. I must look into that when I get home.

keep an eye on the user neo which is me. I have four machines running it now. I have one more that is running unbuntu but I'm having a hard time getting it to run as a service.

I'm supposed to dig into our computers this weekend. I think a processor fan is out on one of them and maybe a power supply or mother board on another. A Windows reinstall might be needed for the third.

Running good. I just did four software updates on it. I also moved it to Lisa's desk, and hooked it up to her monitor and all in one thing. So it's now Lisa's instead of Kyle's.

Kyle lost most privileges a couple weeks ago when he had several bad grades on his last report card. He only gets one hour of TV each day with three hours or more of studying. The books on four different subjects are to come home every night and each weekend whether or not if he has homework. We plan to keep him busy.

Kyle forgot to bring the books home this weekend after being told to the night before. So right now he is leaning the states and their capitols out of an old truckers road atlas. One state at a time and he has to look for the city with the star in a circle.

If you succeed let me know how. We've taken the tv away, the internet away and demanded homework come home and I still have a mini turd here. I've even went on meds to try to be able to accept him because tom thought it was my problem, Now he knows its his son. His perfect son has screwed up so much and keeps doing it. He'll be ok for about a week after getting in trouble then he reverts back into being a steaming pile of doo doo

You may have a chance than. Mine 17 and he was broken before I got him and I'm not spending more than a year trying to fix something that ain't mine. He's out when his class graduates high school. I would say when he graduates but the way he's going he could be here a long time. His mom is 54 and finally decided to get her GED

Lots of times they act out like that do to friends as well. Besides tv, net, etc, you may want to keep them home as well since they can just go out and get tv or net access at a friends house \:\(
