Anyone here try Ipodder yet? I have been hearing it is some project based on Adam Curry's idea , and wondered if anyone tryed it out

It seems to mix RSS feeds with mp3's , and supposedly you subscribe to a show like a normal RSS feed and during the night it gathers the feeds and downloads the mp3's and feeds so in the morning you can click and listen without any delay

Really cool concept if your on dial up like me

That's a cool idea for getting a good signal from distant stations that stream to the web.

From what I understood, at the moment, that when you tell ipodder to monitor one of the ipodder streams, when something new is posted, it downloads the mp3 or media in the background so as to save the person the hiccups experianced with streaming media since it downloads in the background and plays off the persons hard drive.

I tryed it out and got adam curry's welcome message, but it has a long way to go before I would use it all the time If it was added to my news reader, it would be pretty neat to try out , as all the ipodder software did was download the files and not show the text of the feed i subscribed too which would require another feed reader.

Not just that, but there is a bug I noticed when your downloading the files with ipodder on windows and if you go to remove ipodder It lets you remove the program but kept downloading the file from one of the ipodder feeds as I forgot to turn it off before removing it

Good concept though .
