Well I have a new hobby, and got a new toy .
Harold do you do any clay traget shooting? I just woundered beings you said you have a scattergun.
I never got into hunting as I dont much care for the killing part.

Heres my new Shotgun for Sporting Clays. Its a Browning Citori 525 Sporting Model. 20 guage.
Its not as easy as it looks trying to shoot something flying through the air fast . I have only been doing it for 3-4 weeks now , and boy am I having FUN !!

I only did a clay shooting for a hunter safety course when I was still in Boy Scouts in the late seventies.

An over and under in 20 guage has got to be light and sweet handling. Although I'll stick with my Remington 12 gauge pump in Wingmaster finish.

Planning to reload for it? You'll save some serious money if you do. This sport takes a bunch of practice.

My favorite is target shooting with any rifle. I like to see the results on paper.

I used to shoot alot of paper, I have a 40 s/w Glock with lazer and a 308 Savage leaver action rifle with a scope, man that thing is so accurate its scarry. I can shoot it 4 times and cover the shots up with a nickle at 150 yards.
I thought about getting a reloader and do my own, but a box of 25 is only $2.95 for a box of remmingtons 2-3/4, 7&1/2's.
I almost bought a 28 guage as thats whats real popular for sporting clays around here , but 7 bucks for a box of 25 shells is to rich for my blood.
If I can find a decent used reloader cheep i will mosdt likely reload myself, as I plan on shooting alot.
When I lived in Oregon , every boy and girl had to pass hunter saftey course before they graduated and got their deploma, I think every state should be that way , as it takes the infatuation out of firearms of young kids that havent been around guns !

What? A gun card?
Anyone over 18 here can just go into Wal-Mart or Sporting goods store and buy any ammo we want.

whats that cost? another way of the government trying to get our guns out of our hands so its easier for them to get us to do their bidding !!
They can have mine when they pry it from my cold DEAD hands !!!!!!!
This country was built on our" right to bare arms", and these dummys are wanting to re-write our constitution for their benifit, so we the people cant revolt when the time is needed.
I feel we need to have a revolution to take back our government for the good of us ,instead of them using us to fill their greed !

Last time I checked it ran $12.00. But the new gov is so money hungry it's probably more now. You end up with a state ID with your picture and all of it. Without it you can't touch anything bigger than black powder. It's supposed to make sure that only non-felons can get ammo over the counter.

We have about 6 guns (only 3 or so are in working order now) that are inherited from legal users who had cards. The problem is that no one in the house has a card now so if it's discovered they are here I'm not so sure where we stand. They could force a fine or confiscate them. They're in storage until then.

After mowing some yard along the road, I treated myself to some noisemaking. I carried the old replaced toilet further into the woods and then ran a box of 50 through the 45. I had a hard time understanding why I kept missing the toilet tank from 100 feet or a little more. Seems the foam tank liner was still standing with the tank slivered up.

Then for good measure, I swapped on the rifled slug barrel on the 870 and ran 5 more one ounce slugs at it from a couple hundred feet. I think I'll leave the slug barrel on for future pest control.

Well I finially got my gun back from the GunSmith as I am real left eye dominate and started to shoot left handed and did pretty good so I went and had it fitted to me left hand for shooting as they dont make a left hand stock for my shotgun. Anxious to shoot it this weekend as I havent had my gun for 2 months .
Be good to Blow Clays up again

OH, I sure will try Ann.............We were going to go today , but its 30 deg. and 30+ MPH winds happening right now , so we are going to go shoot tomarrow.
Those clays are hard enough to hit when they fly 40-70 mph with out any wind .LOL......the wind makes them do all sorts of funny things .

Ruger P90. I've always been on a budget with these things. I have CCI Lawman hollow points in both of the factory seven round clips. They've been turning green the last several years. And I have some extra ten round clips to practice with some FMJ that I got a cheap case of 15 years ago. I think six or seven dollars for a box of a 100 back then. In fact I mail ordered them from www.cheaperthandirt.com .

Thats a nice looking pistol Harold , just looked it up .
The thing I find with pistols is the rake of the grip , My glock really doesnt fit me very well as when I grip it and aim it I have to compensate with lifting the barrel up from my wrist , I need a pistol with more rake , and those pistols are real expensive ..... Sig Sauer ..... Heckler & Koch ....Baretta , to name a few .
