Yeah, you read it right. |zbo here, back, and needing a hand from some of the best people out there on the net.

I have a project, and it's 75% finished. It's been eating up my free time, and I tend to be very rambunctious, always finishing what I start.

So that 25% I can't get is eating at me. I need a 100%.

Most of you know I've been playing City of Heroes, a great PC game, and it's all about super-heroes and comic books and all that. With the recent releases of movies such as Spider-Man and the Hulk, I need you guys to seriously think here for a second, and then give me an answer.

I'm trying to put together a CD of super-hero music. I know, sounds weird, but there is a demand. Something that someone could listen to while playing City of Heroes. I think I have a pretty good track listing so far, but I'm stuck for more super-hero or "hero" sounding songs. It's gotta be something with some hard guitars, a good beat, sort of good action music.

My only immediate turn-downs would be the following:

Bonnie Tyler - Hero (got it, it's way overdone on that game anyways...)

Anything even remotely related to the Streets of Fire soundtrack- (I've already torn that thing apart getting the best songs, they're on there)

No recent releases related to Marvel Films: (I.E., Spider-Man's "Hero", by Josey Wales and the guy from Nickelback, or "Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional from Spider-Man 2, let's keep this away from any recent movie releases.)

Basically, if you heard a song, and thought, "Man, that would be cool for a super hero"... what was it????

hehehe, I come up with the weirdest topics.

Glad I'm back?

how about "Superman" by five for fighting?

If that does not work, a good one I like and that reminds me of super hero type stuff is "Live and let die" from the old bond films

Trally, hey, thanks for the response. Man, I thought I was alone out here, haha!

Five For Fighting is the name of the band? I'll have to look that up.

As for the "Live and Let Die" thing, it's been a little overworked too, I should have mentioned it, my apologies. Guns N'Roses did a version of it that was pretty good, but it's become the staple song of all CoH players out there that have "secret agent" type players.

But I'll go look up that Superman song now. Thanks! So we have one down.

Since you mentioned the so called "Secret Agent" type players, would Johny Rivers song called "Secret Agent Man" qualify for you cd?

Nah, but that's a good idea!

I pretty much have it lined out now. Thanks though, Trally, I appreciate the help. It's going to be on my website by tomorrow, all finished up and ready to go.

Ah well, maybe next time I'll come up with a better topic.

How about Corey Hart's "Never Surrender" song as we know surrender is not in a hero's vocabulary

And maybe Big Country's version of "Save Me" as well as Carl Douglas's "Kung fu fighting" as alot of my early heroes were from those early kung fu movies

Feel free to take any or leave any of these suggestions you want

Santana's "Evil Ways" would be good too

And possibly Simon & Garfunkle's "I am a rock" - goes well and I kind of think of Peter Parker and Mary Jane on that one

If you have iTUNES installed , I listened to these girs that play some cool ass string instruments, called BOND, And the song I like the best is Explosive, its all musical , but man it makes me want to become a HERO listening to it .

What about Thunder by AC/DC ?
Eric Johnson- Righteous or Cliffs of Dover
Booket T and the MG's -Green Onions
Ted Nugent-Strangelhold...Free for all......wango tango
RUSH-Red Barchetta......Tom Sawyer.........Fly by Night
Van Halen- Sitting on top of the world.....Plus a slew of their other tunes
I'll keep thinking

Little Feat - Let It Roll. Good for action scenes when it's going the hero's way.
