its a continuation of last weeks episode to set up the new Atlantis series i believe. My thoughts exactly when i seen the new bad guys last week , I thought Maryln had a cameo.......LOL I just hope the new team works as good as the one that is leaving. I have always liked Richard Dean Anderson, hes been an Underrated actor in my oppinion.

Maybe underrated, however, he's had a job as long as I can remember knowing his name.

Cant wait till the show is on , I hope no SG1 memebr is killed off tonight as that to me wouldnt be good PR for the new atlantis shows. If they do that I dont know if I would be that interested in watching the new Atlantis all that much.
But i guess we will find out tonight wont we.

Fast Update Run Down StarGate SG1 Season Premier,
Carter & Tilk went to find Thor and Thor saved them from being sucked into a black hole.
Daniel was left on earth to find a way to help Jack.
The GO-ULD sent a message to set a truce to help them fight (forgot his name) for exchange for our technology on how we defeated Anubis and them give us Hyper drive technology. We bluffed them and one main Go-uld stayed behind because his forces were defeated by the bad Go-uld. ( Who knows where this will go )
The human replicators gained the knowledge of the askard ship and found out where the Askards were developing a new planet , and in the process kidnapped Carter off the Askard ship.
One of the Human Replicators fell in love with Carter after reading her mind and tried to manipulater her into thinking she was on earth . This didnt work .
Thor went to earths area and Beamed up Daniel to the ship and also beamed up Jack and hooked his mind into the askard ships computer to help find a way to help defeat the Human replicators, Which he did ( YAY Jacks back ) they defeated the replicators on the new askard planet and saved Sam ( Carter) . But a ship of Replicators did manage to get off the planet before Thor killed all replicators on thier planet
Jack has taken over Hammonds job running SG1 Facility.
They just anounced Jack on his new commmand of running SG1.
Sam was pormoter To Lt. Colonel .
The Human replicator just built a Sam clone , and they look like they might be the new bad Guys.
If I left anything out please fill in what I left out .

Kris, that is alot of insight there , I havent seen every episode of SG1 and dont know all the bad guys or good guys. the go-uld that stayed behind is deffinately interesting thats for sure , as it opens up some crazy ideas. I seen on the new previews that some type of alien takes over the bodies of SG1 so could this be one of your thoughts that comes to life ? Its going to be full of twists and turns thats for sure, and like Trally mentioned , its going to be hard to follow both series, but i thing they will kind of be intertwined together further in to the season. But i could be wrong, i usually am ..LOL

Get with the times Trallyus, that happened like last season.. Ok here is some more speculation on my part. I may be the only one, but I like the two series dynamic. That way they can do separate and unique things. Perhaps in the beginning they will have very close ties, but as time goes on, the more different they will become. If all contact between the two is severed, then the possibilities are endless as to how distinct they will become. One of the funniest parts was when Thor told Jack his mind was interacting with the Daniel Jackson. Also that classic, You made that -No-Yes-No-Yes- back and forth between Jack and Daniel. Teal'c has already started to in essence 'come out and be more human like'. First with his hair. Then with his somewhat awkward conversation with Sam. Also as he said "Indeed, for some" When Thor explained about the black hole interference with his long range communications and Sam agreed. One of the evolving themes is that being smarter is not always better. As the more practical and limited in your thinking, the more you are open to suggestions and ideas that someone who was more intelligent would not even consider. It may be all fine and everything to make a spear, or a bow and arrow, but when the situation calls for a rock, it's best to use a rock. It may be dirty and crude but it gets the job done. While you are wasting time constructing a more advanced weapon, the other will just bash your head in then take your technology to gain an unfair advantage against everyone else. For all intent and purposes, SG1 has been more like a terrorist cell than anything else. Gradually building more cells, but compared to the immense grasp of the Goa'uld they were just like the Tok'ra. But now that they have a Goa'uld to teach them to build ships and weapons, then they can finally have a war. Can you imagine the fight scenes? The season finale last year will just have been a taste. The graphics in this season will for sure be awesome. -- Side Note: Anyone remember the Gad-Meer? The ten thousand year old peaceful (really alien) civilization. Which were destroyed by a far more powerful and destructive force in another galaxy about a thousand years ago? Well, who wants to bet it was the Wraiths that did that as well? What about the Furlings? They are one of the four great collective races (Ancients, Asgard, Nox, Furlings) and we still haven't seen them. Perhaps they are out there fighting the Wraiths or have been destroyed by them? Maybe we will finally figure out what the Wraiths did to the Ancients to wipe them out. (What if the Wraiths and the Ancients were related somehow?) Ahh, can't wait..

Must be a local thing in your area. You scared me cause I have charter for both cable and internet. Sci-fi is working here. Just lost my internet connection a few minutes ago though, had to reset the router and modem to get it back. I can't wait, we're on pacific time here so I won't get to see Stargate Atlantis till 9:00 pm, its only 5:00 pm now. So nobody go posting anything to ruin it for me. Or if you do post a spoiler warning at the front and I'll pass it over.

Am I the only one who noticed that guy who was playing that Major 'Kearney?' guy, the same one who was needed to turn the other key to put the base on self destruct. Played General Hammond (Lt. George Hammond)[Aaron Pearl] in the 1969 episode? So is he from the past? Is he the replacement for the General and perhaps Join SG1? Or they didn't care about continuity or they just wanted to mess with people who pay attention to details for the most part anyway. Hmm, interesting thoughts and as is Anubis. From the beginning when they said oh, look some debris. It had to be Anubis. If he is a cast down ascended being, then couldn't he just retake human/Gould form? That part where Daniel is asking who shot him was hysterical. Anyway,
-- Also the Atlantis episode was rather weak. It was so obvious that, that little gadget would save them at the end. So obvious, I had wished that it would some how turn out to be something else but that was just so weak. Still, since it is just starting out, it is ok so far. They have to build from somewhere. Also, I didn't like that guy from SG1, he was so "MR. No-it-All" Couldn't ever be wrong, and a [Bad Word!]. He is more like a Gould than anyone else. All the while weak and someone you couldn't tell anything to. Still the personal shield is interesting. Just as he pointed out, that when he told the guy to hit him, he did without any hesitation. Hmm, what is that about? Mind control? Hmm, interesting.
--- Overall, I still believe the Ancients implanted life everywhere. For the most part, they could controversially be considered god. I'd say they created all the life that we see on SG1 and on the Atlantis show. The Knox, Asgard, Goulds, humans, everyone. Jaffa, descended from humans so the ancients indirectly created them also. Why would they create Gould? Perhaps they were testing out regenerative abilities. They are more great than we can imagine. Where as we test on a little scale. Their laboratory is worlds. Perhaps they wanted to advance, and had created these other lifeforms so they could. Perhaps they reached that limit where they could not advance any further than what they had. Or perhaps, they were lonely? I'd say the Wraith were created by the ancients as well.
Perhaps as a way to defeat the plague, or because of it. Yet I'm in error. The ancients can't be considered as one whole group. There should be fractions, and groups of differing views and opinions. They can't be all the same. So perhaps one did this, another that. Diversity is goal for advancement. Maybe they knew of their doomed fate, and created all this other life so they could somehow transform their bodies or something so they could defeat the plague? Which they succeeded when they learned from that energy being on Atlantis, thus ascending to a higher level.
Or maybe, they just wanted to have a laboratory to map out how life certain genetics would influence life. Or rather how life would adapt to certain environments and how they would develop as such. Also how a Gould would interact with humans, or how to create genetically create a peaceful race such as the Knox. Or create more scientific race such as the Asgard. Maybe they intended to incorporate these genetic diversities into their own DNA. Diversity is key, the Asgard know this better than anyone... Just imagine how many other galaxies they created life in. How many other strange lifeforms are out there.. I don't know, who knows? It's to grand a idea to fathom and I'll stop here before I can't stop and must keep going.

From Joseph Mallozzi's Weblog: (SGA Producer) No mailbag today as the next scene came to me while I was driving home tonight and I’d like to get it down before I forget. But, to tide you over, here’s that snipped scene from Trio. A little chat between Carter and Keller as they are knotting up that rope:
Carter: So…you seeing anyone?
Keller: What?
Carter: Around the base, you seeing anyone?
Keller: I dunno…I had a moment with - with this…guy. He’s not exactly easy to read so…I guess the short answer is “no”. You?
Carter: Well, I’m the boss, so I can’t really…
Keller: Right Anyone back home?
Carter: Uhm…
Keller: Un-huh, I thought so. Give it up.
Carter: Well, it’s complicated.
Keller: Show me a relationship that isn’t.
Carter: He’s in Washington…I’m here.
Keller: Ouch. Long distance relationship.
Carter: He’s going to retire soon, so maybe -
Keller: Really! Retire? So…an older man, huh?
Carter: Not that much older.
Keller: Washington, older man…is he like a Senator or something? Someone famous? Would I know him?
Carter: Probably not. This person Carter is referring to could it be Jack? Kelly and I have always wanted to see those two get together. I wish they wouldn't have cut that out. He's getting flamed for that getting "deleted". Original post here: http://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/
