Thought I'd start a thread where we can talk about the concerts we've been to. I hope nobody minds.

I haven't been to all that many concerts recently. There haven't been as many good ones in the area (at least not what I consider good). I've seen Sawyer Brown, Toby Keith (a few times), Kenny Chesney (twice), and some other country acts. Most of them have been at the fair in town or at WeFest (when I've won tickets).

The most recent concert I've been to was this past Saturday at RibFest. The concert was free with the gate admission ($5 or $3 if you had a discount ticket like my sis and I did). Had good food and then good music. My sis and I had front row seats for the show ... actually front row standing spots ... LOL It pays to get there early.) A local band that I know (32 Below) opened up the nite's music (I've mentioned them here before). They rocked as always. And I got their new CD at the show ... it rocks!! They're heading off to Nashville by the end of the summer (the last I heard). I hope they make it big.

Then Trick Pony was on. Talk about a good, high energy show. Heidi's a tiny woman, but man can she sing and play the harmonica. Ira Dean is a hottie ... Keith's not bad either. I got a guitar pick that he threw into the crowd (actually, it landed in the area in front of the fence, but the security guard picked it up and gave it to me ... ) It was an awesome concert ... until the drunk idiots behind us decided to start pushing forward and this one 'witch' grabbed the back of my neck when I pushed back at them and complained.

I got a ton of pics from the show. The attached pic is of 32 Below (I got 57 pics and 2 video clips of them). And I've seemed to develop a little crush on the guy in the orange shirt (we were standing right in front of him). I'm planning on seeing them again this week if I can get someone to go with me.

And I got 108 pics of Trick Pony (and that's with a broken digital camera that I had to take apart myself to fix ... LOL). Here's one of the first of the nite that I took. I hope to get all of the pics online sometime yet today. I'll post a link when I've got 'em up.

I don't think I've ever been to any real concerts.

The last one I've been to was a long time ago. Meatloaf.

I just got my pics uploaded. There's a ton, and they're full size (1280x960). You can see 'em here if you're interested.

I went to a Kiss concert many years ago. I took one of the local troubled youth. The kid had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get the tickets (community service type stuff) and I was the only concealer who liked Kiss music at the time.

Outside of the obvious one of the best shows I ever saw was the Chick Corea Elektric Band. Got backstage, too!

I saw them too. I've seen Phil Collins, Train and MatchBox 20. And and Dan Fogelberg, he's a hottie.

Yes, that was an impromptu concert, so it's counts just fine.

Just got back from Melissa Ethridge, after all these years. I can't think of another female vocalist that will ever be able to fill her shoes. God bless her she's still touring.
