I took these pictures this evening from my back yard. The colours don`t show up as well on film but one of the clouds was a funny blue colour. Very interesting.

This is part of my front garden. I took the shot to send to my cousin to give her ideas for ground cover. The roses are looking pretty sad because they are just coming out of a hot, tropical summer.

Australia has grass, I never knew......I thought it was all dry sand and dirt. Sorry I'm so unschooled.

LOL No problem. The middle of the country has a lot of desert and the majority of the population lives close to the coastline.
Where I was born is about 3 hours from the coast but is actually the "garden city" of the state. It is quite pretty and from some of the pics I`ve seen of Conneticutt it kind of reminded me of it. Of course we only had snow that once when I was about 17.
I think our tourism bureaus like to promote the outback as something different to other countries cause how interesting would it be if you knew that the majority of us live a very similar way to what you guys do? Apart from the fact that most of our country has a more temperate climate than you we are very similar in lifestyles etc.
This pic is from the city I was born and raised in, it`s the Japanese gardens at the university. My brother got married there last year.

Kenny Chesney had a concert in town last Friday. My friends and I were out at the bar that nite. This guy was walking around. Of course, my friend Mona had to grab him for a pic. I was gonna take the pic, but she made me get in it. No ... it's not Kenny ... but he sure is a good look-a-like. I was hoping Kenny and his band (especially his lead guitar player :drool:) would show up at the bar after the concert, but they didn't. Some people said he went to a different bar. But who knows.
