I vary from day to day what I listen to. Lately there has only been one song playing in my house. It goes a little something like this:
'97 Bonnie and Clyde Lyrics
Just the two of us.. (8X)
[Eminem] Baby your da-da loves you (hey) And I'ma always be here for you (hey) no matter what happens You're all I got in this world I would never give you up for nothin Nobody in this world is ever gonna keep you from me I love you
C'mon Hai-Hai, we goin to the beach Grab a couple of toys and let da-da strap you in the car seat Oh where's mama? She's takin a little nap in the trunk Oh that smell (whew!) da-da musta runned over a skunk Now I know what you're thinkin - it's kind of late to go swimmin But you know your mama, she's one of those type of women that do crazy things, and if she don't get her way, she'll throw a fit Don't play with da-da's toy knife, honey, let go of it (no!) And don't look so upset, why you actin bashful? Don't you wanna help da-da build a sand castle? (yeah!) And mama said she wants to show how far she can float And don't worry about that little boo-boo on her throat It's just a little scratch - it don't hurt, her was eatin dinner while you were sweepin and spilled ketchup on her shirt Mama's messy isn't she? We'll let her wash off in the water and me and you can pway by ourselves, can't we?
Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I! Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I!
See honey.. there's a place called heaven and a place called hell A place called prison and a place called jail And da-da's probably on his way to all of em except one Cause mama's got a new husband and a stepson And you don't want a brother do ya? (Nah) Maybe when you're old enough to understand a little better I'll explain it to ya But for now we'll just say mama was real real bad She was bein mean to dad and made him real real mad But I still feel sad that I put her on time-out Sit back in your chair honey, quit tryin to climb out (WAHH!) I told you it's okay HaiHai, wanna ba-ba? Take a night-night? Nan-a-boo, goo-goo ga-ga? Her make goo-goo ca-ca? Da-da change your dia-dee Clean the baby up so her can take a nighty-nighty Your dad'll wake her up as soon as we get to the water Ninety-seven Bonnie and Clyde, me and my daughter
Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I! Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I!
Wake up sweepy head we're here, before we pway we're gonna take mama for a wittle walk along the pier Baby, don't cry honey, don't get the wrong idea Mama's too sweepy to hear you screamin in her ear (ma-maa!) That's why you can't get her to wake, but don't worry Da-da made a nice bed for mommy at the bottom of the lake Here, you wanna help da-da tie a rope around this rock? (yeah!) We'll tie it to her footsie then we'll roll her off the dock Ready now, here we go, on the count of free.. One.. two.. free.. WHEEEEEE! (whoooooshhhhh) There goes mama, spwashin in the wa-ta No more fightin wit dad, no more restraining order No more step-da-da, no more new brother Blow her kisses bye-bye, tell mama you love her (mommy!) Now we'll go play in the sand, build a castle and junk But first, just help dad with two more things out the trunk
Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I! Just the two of us.. (2X) And when we ride! Just the two of us.. (2X) Just you and I!
Just the two of us.. (4X)
[Eminem] Just me and you baby is all we need in this world Just me and you Your da-da will always be there for you Your da-da's always gonna love you Remember that If you ever need me I will always be here for you If you ever need anything, just ASK Da-da will be right there Your da-da loves you I love you baby

I'm curious...
Since the post was replied to none other than I.
And your title makes me curious as to the meaning.
I was wondering if the last two lines of lyric, were really lyrics?
Or were you trying to secretly tell me:
"Your da-da loves you
I love you baby"

I've been listening to The Darkness, particularly the song "I believe In a Thing Called Love." That song kicks ass and so do they.

It's the pure tone of his voice. It's the way he sings, and how gently he appears. I think women like him not as a boyfriend, but as someone who needs to be taken care of. And I like his voice because it sounds like he should be on stage. I can't wait for his first Broadway musical, I'm there...........I see him in Rent.
Edit: Thanks, just reminded me, and now listening to it.

I have a wide range in musical taste. My favorite song right now is from ICP. The wraith cd. Called the unveiling. Carnival of Carnage, The Ringmaster, The Riddle Box, The Great Milenko, The Amazing Jeckel Brothers, and The Wraith
looks like were all out of time brother! Everybodys out of time! [Bad Word!] It, We gots to tell them All secrets will now be told no more hidden messengers this is it yall times up everything be out right here no need for the reverse talking the truth.
Now we have been told this carnival [Bad Word!] has touched many lives. People have fuckin` sworn to us they too can feel it inside. What is it that draws you in, this magic that compels you? We`ve been waiting six fuckin` joker cards to finally tell you. This messengers and hints were there, all though most never picked up on them. We snuck em` in subliminally with that wicked [Bad Word!] around them. We mentioned more and more of this on every Joker's Card. The bottom line always the same, you aint have to look hard. We wickedly kick it, inflict it, you get it, get with it and dig we don't preach it flat, cause some ninjas don`t wanna get with ya, they quick to forget ya without the hatchet and gat out. So we rose the hatchet, do or die, now Juggalos standing tall, after all 6 have risen the end of time will consume us all. It aint got nothing to do with us, It aint Psychopathic Records! All we`re doing is pointing this [Bad Word!] out to you, we in this together! Who`s behind the Dark Carnival, thet Gatherings and the hatchet? Who`s beind Dark Lotus, the circus and everybody at it? Who inveted Juggalos and Juggalette and fuckin Faygo showers? What about that feeling you get when bumping our [Bad Word!], who`s behind these Juggalo powers? This ain`t no fuckin fan club, It aint about making a buck. Don`t buy our fuckin action figures bitch, i dont give a [Bad Word!]. It aint About Violent J or Shaggy, the Butterfly or seventeen. When we speak of Shangri-La, what you think we mean? Truth is we follow GOD, we`ve always been behind him, The Dark Carnival is GOD and may all Juggalos find him!
May The Juggalos Find Him! May The Juggalos Find Him! May The Juggalos Find Him! He's out there, He's Out there!
We`re not sorry if we tricked you! We don't care what happens now. We`re not sorry if we tricked you! We swing our hatchet and we`re proud. We`re not sorry if we tricked you! Painted faces in the crowd. We`re not sorry if we tricked you! The Carnival will carry on.

I just discovered Electric Six and they are pretty damn good. They do the funny song Gay Bar. They seem to be a mix of punk, disco, funk and surf music. Funny story behind me finding out about them and I always think it's weird when [Bad Word!] like this happens. I was look around at www.rathergood.com and their flash animations. This is the site that is better known for the dancing and rock & roll kittens and the Quiznos Subs Spongmonkeys. There's one that has viking kittens dancing to the song Gay Bar and I was laughing my ass off! That night I was watching the DVD of Cabin Fever (weird ass movie BTW) and one of the special features is the blond haired kid doing a bunch of karate moves to the very same Gay Bar song. I was like "HEY!! I just heard that this morning!" Syncronicity is a very strange thing.

I have not listened to any Moly Hatchet in a long time. I guess I had better go by a new CD. What do you think is there best?

Since I'm new to this forum and this thread, I'll drop in my favorites right now and then my wife Luwana's favorites: Izzy: Aerosmith - Honkin' On Bobo (nothing but a one-take recording blues album, rocks the walls when I crank it to ten on "Back Back Train", you gotta hear that... ) The Darkness - Permission to Land (Gotta love it, it's like old late '80's/ early '90's metal with a glam touch of the old New York Dolls) Jet- (Don't have the album, but the songs "Cold Hard B...h" and "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" have been on my computer a few weeks now, and I transfered them to a CD to play on the big stereo... huge guitars on that those, need to buy the album - I always said if I was going to be in a band seriously, this is what it was supposed to sound like. I got close a few times but no cigar. These guys ripped off my band!!!! ) Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below - (Yep, Rod's gonna think I flipped on this one, but I love the bass lines and the rhythms are almost along an old R&B sort of groove... that and some of the songs are funny) Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf - (These guys flat out rock, and the band has already broken up acording to VH1 news. Oh well. At least I'll always have this album. It's a hard album to listen to from beginning to end, it wears you out fast... a mix of metal and punk from the first note) Ozzy Osbourne - Down to Earth- (Ozzy may seem half out of it on the Osbournes, but his talent hasn't ended. I play this album at least three times a week, just sitting and listening. It's almost like visiting the grandfather I never had... just sit and listen to the wisdom... ) Iron Maiden - (anything by these guys, I have the two new songs from the "Dance of Death" album, but haven't bought it yet... YAAAAAAARG! I MUST HAVE IT! UP THE IRONS!!!!!! ) That's it for me. Luwanna lately is into these guys... keep in mind she enjoys a lot of "Gothic" rock and some rather spiritually minded music... AFI - Sing the Sorrow - (I like it, it's hip, but she's completely sold on these guys. Her new addiction. Sort of a goth sound mixed with some metal, very intense lyrics, and the lead singer has a great distinctive singing voice.) Evanescence- (Their album is always playing around here when I'm not jamming something. Deep lyrics, cool rock riffs. She likes them more than I, but it's alright... ) Lacuna Coil - (We found one song by this band... "Heaven's A Lie", it's very deep lyrics, not what you would think by looking at the title. They're from Norway, I think. A female lead singer along with a male lead singer. Sort of a twist on the old "frontman" thing. Very addictive. We're trying to find the album.) I could go on, but that's the state of music around the Den right now. That and Howard Stern in the morning. Hope you all find something in the list that you may identify with... |zzY

Hehehe, Rod, that was as short as I could get it... I had a few others that I would mention, but I didn't want to bore everyone to tears...
Although, if I had one other album that I can't seem to get enough of lately, I would also have to add to my list Alice Cooper's latest, "The Eyes of Alice Cooper"... (my mother-in-law got it for me for my birthday in October, she's as cool as they get! ) he went back to his old 70's raw sound from albums like "Killers" and "Love It To Death" (Think of songs like "Eighteen", and "Is It My Body").
Check out the great lyrics on one of my favorite tracks...
Alice Cooper
The Song That Didn't Rhyme
From - The Eyes Of Alice Cooper
Wrote a song, it was wrong from it's very first conception
Seemed I struggled on every line
It wasn't fast, wasn't pretty, wasn't serious or witty
The song that didn't rhyme
The band couldn't wing it, the singer couldn't sing it
The drummer's always out of time
The DJ's were offended, my union card suspended
Billboard declared it a crime
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don't flow but I can't get it out of my mind
A three minute waste of your time
On a song that didn't rhyme
It was bland, it was boring, all the groupies they were snoring
The first time we played it live
All the record guys got fired, the president retired
But somehow the song survived
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don't flow but I can't get it out of my mind
The melody blows in a key that no one can find
The lyrics don't flow but I can't get it out of my mind
A three minute waste of your time
No redeeming value of any kind
But thanks for the twelve ninety nine
For a song that didn't rhyme
Truly a classic, hehe...
Gotta love Alice...

Trace Adkins, lots of Garth, but my fave band right this instant (subject to change for I am female) is Mongomery Gentry.
(a few posts back someone mentioned how normal Alice Cooper is. I spoke to him briefly a couple of times back in Ann Arbor when the band was called Alice Cooper, not just him. He sure was nice and thoughtful and friendly! )

I love that cd! I listen to it all the time. I've also been listening to Billy Talent, Green Day and Ashlee... To name a few.

The last three albums I bought were Sarah McLachlan's Solace, Maroon 5's Songs about Jane, and Fleetwood Mac's The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac.
I have very broad tastes in music. I HATE Rap, though! I have some Classical albums and mainstream music from 1966-2004.
I just listened to samples from Maroon 5 on Barnes and Noble's website. I like them very much, I may have to purchase them myself soon.

I like They Might be Giants. They're awesome. I keep downloading their free songs from their website.

I feel the same way about a lot of the music my sister listens to. It's all crap.

I've been trying to buy the Gavin DeGraw cd from iTunes, but they're having an issue with Paypal account authentication, so I'm not listening to anything right now.

Been listening to this piece from Star Trek: First Contact this afternoon. It's titled, oddly enough, First Contact

Bits and pices. I'm not fluent, but I can translate stuff so I can get the gist of the song. Even if I don't, they usually sound awesome none the less. Although, there's a completely Spanish song on this album and I don't have ANY idea where to begin

Can't find the full version, but here's a verse
Vamos, vamos, mi amor Me gusta mucho tu sabor No no no no tu corazón Mucho mucho tu limón Dame de tu fruta Vamos, mi amor

All I knew was she did this twangy song called "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" (really, really excellent song, mind you) but now I know she's a really amazing country /rock singer and writer.
