Lucy!! The baby girl. The kittens want to come in, did you eventually let them in? I want to get a cat soon, it's been 14 years since my Tabbatha died of Kidney failure, she was 14 years old. Boy I miss her, and so does my mom.....maybe soon.

Yeah. Big dogs always seem to be the most lovable. I didn't mean that she was dumb. Just that she seems to have that dopey look which I think is so cute in big dogs.

I was bringing Jenni to work today so that I could use her car to goto my interview and on the busy street there was a baby kitty trying to cross the road. She was so scared and almost got hit by one car and after that she just gave up and laid down in the middle of the road, right in front of us.
So we stopped and picked her up and took her with us and she is the cutest little kitty. She's fuzzy, has light brown fur and bright blue eyes. We think she's a Himilayan. She at Jenni's office right now and I thnk we'll take her home for the evening until a local shelter is open. We'll give her a bath too because she is so dirty.
But she's got a cute tiny baby head and the brightest blue eyes that are so adorable. Who knows, maybe we'll keep her. I'll post pics when she gets home.

You don't need to go in the street . Just come on up we always got room for one more. Whats a little extra water in the soup. We got no money but there is always plenty for everyone.

It's funny how they always find us. I swear it's planned because she saw us and laid right down in front of us. She is home right now but she's in her little carrier and is scared and very tired. We'll let her have a little nappie and then I gotta wash her a little. She is so dirty. I'll give her a little bath and keep her in our room for a few days. The other cats are walking around the cage, sniffing and a couple are moaning. I told Bankie and Timmy that they have to be nice to her because our kitties were nice to them when we brought them home. I'll post pics a little latter.

Heheehe. Me too. I'm wondering if she hurt her back leg because she walks around awfully funny. Maybe a car clipped it or something. She doesn't act lke she's in pain or anything so I don't know. She may just be so stressed out.

She is so bright eyed and alert but she definitely looks sad alot and is very shy. She keeps hiding with her face up against the wall. And she hurt her back right leg because she doesn't use it that much. It's not broken or anything because I've felt all up it and it feels normal and she doesn't yowl. She may have just stepped on something or maybe the blacktop burned her pads. I don't know but it is such a crime for a cute little girl like this to be treated so badly this early in her life. Right now she's in her cage sleeping on a nice big blankey with another towel covering her up. She's all bundled up like a baby. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

She's been a sleepy kitty all day long. She's been starting to eat and drink so that's a good sign. She also has been purring which means that she is mostly ok. Her back paws are still hurting her for some reason but with lots of rest, food, water and lovin she'll get better fast.
She no longer seems to be scared and shaky which means she's mostly calmed down from her ordeal and I think she knows we're taking care of her.
The local no kill shelter is full so it looks like we're keeping her for the time being.

Well, she has been getting lots of sleep and when she wakes she eats and drinks alot. She finally pooped and peed yesterday so that was a relief. I gave her some fish/petrolium jelly paste stuff which she freaked out over. Probably the best tasting stuff she's ever had.
This morning she is in much better shape. I don't think that she had an injured rear leg. I think that she was just so malnurished that she didn't have the strength to use them. This morning she is alot more stable walking and is using her hind legs alot more. They are still a little weak but she's 100% better. She just needs lots of love, rest and food and she should be fully restored by week's end.

She's a stealth cat like my Lummy was. You can't capture him very well on film unless the flash reflects off his fur. Very soft and clean looking kitty.

we have a wild cat as well TOR  My mom would feed it and let it get used to her by hand feeding it. Then she eventually started petting it until it got used to humans. It got to the point where its settled down At one point she actually was able to pick it up and put it in one of those traveling cases and take it to the vet to get it fixed as it was having to many kittens for us to keep finding homes for them My mom said the vet freaked out when she open the cage and it jumped super high to try and get out of a window that was closed I wasnt there , but it was funny as I guess the vet expected a normal cat and had to drug the cat to do the operation and had a heck of a time catching it without getting scratched to heck she now follows my mom and me all around and is alot tamer then when we first saw her, but still can't be picked up unless she wants picked up

My Bankie girl loves to reach out like that. It's like she;s holding hands with you. She'll be on my lap and she always reaches her paw out and puts it on my hand. Or if she's on the top of the couch she'll reach down and touch my shoulder. And she'll fall asleep that way. She's a lovey girl.

I could walk next door and get a doz. more. I am just not up to loving anything else that I could (would) see die. I am trying real hard to shut all my feelings down. It is just something I need to do for a while. Right now love and hurt feel very much the same to me.

It's hard not to want to help them out but at the same time you dont want to be overrun with cats. Giving them any kind of shelter will usually be enough. I mean, they ARE animals. How did they survive so long without us? They suffered outside like the rest of them. So a barn or a garage with some blankets should suffice I would think.
