This is true. The country was founded on these principals and now they are being forgotten.

I think that as of late there has been a swing more toward these values. With the attacks on 9/11 and the war on terrorism, people need something solid to stand on.

We also now have a president that is open and honest about his belief in the lord Jesus. This is as you know a big change from what we had for the eight years prior to Mr. Bush taking office.

This country since the 1950's has been in a moral downward spiral. We can thank the baby boomer's for that and the 'open and free' society that was pushed on us in the late 60's. It was once said that when the baby boomer generation dies off that the country would get back to the values it had before. I think that as that generation gets older and they start to lose some of the non conformist attitude which we are seeing now that things will get better.

I also feel that the movie The Passions of the Christ given my generation something to visualize rather than just have blind faith. We have been raised with the gift of having everything at our fingertips and easy access. Now that we have a face to put with the name Jesus it seems a little easier to believe.

Sorry for the rambling...

All you need to do is look at the actual wording of what the founding fathers wrote in our various documents. They spell it all out.
