Great software to read such comics as hi and loise, beetle bailey, etc all in one browser windows through the net.
http://www.evan.org/Software/Comics.html
Only works with windows but not too shabby if you want to follow a bunch of comic strips at once that are online.

Not sure if this is true or not as I have not seen mention of it elsewhere, but here they mention that Topics Entertainment will be releasing The Amazing Spider-Man Fortieth Anniversary Collection on 10 cds for 49.95 that has spideys first appearance in amazing fantasy #15, and issues 1-500 of the amazing spiderman books I am not much of a fan of spidey since I lean more towards the x-men and other comics, but if the above is true I will definately get the set for that price.

This has been done in the past with some other popular magazines but usally the prices were overinflated and not as low price as stated above.

In example, Mad Magazine released such a collection in the past called Totally MAD that had every issue of Mad magazine from 1952 to 1998 on it on 7 cd roms . Back then the set costs a pretty penny.

Besides Mad , I also remember that National Geographic published such a collection along with with Time. So it has been done in the past.

Let's hope that alot of people buy the set if it is true so they may think about publishing more collections like it as there are some other comics I would love to see this done with Superman, X-men, Green Lantern , Flash I would love to have issues 1-500 of those

Update The 40th anniversary 11 cd set of spiderman can be bought from Amazon now I see It has like 500 issues of pure Spidey and last time I looked the price was reduced by about $15 off the normal price. That is alot of Spidey

I wonder how many folks who read the sunday comics will wonder about the Doonesbury comic in today's paper?

Meaning when I saw it , I was not sure if it was an homage to the fallen or some sort of jab at war.

Meaning in our paper it shows 6 panels and leaves out 2 panels that show the bugler and the saluting silouetted soldiers.

With those 2 panels missing and it saying continued next week, I took it as a jab at the stupidity of losing so much life and things still going on the same from week to week.

In case any one has the same idea due to the papers trying to save space by not printing the extra frames, here is what the full 8 panel layout is supposed to look like

It's probably a case of seeing something there that doesn't exist due to the paper lacking space to print the extra 2 panels that did it. Looking back on it the author is probably paying tribute to the fallen with it being Memorial day and all.

In case anyone here still likes comics, I just ran across one I found really interesting called Planetary. DC Comics put it out and you can read more about it at http://www.dccomics.com/features/planetary/

They toute themselves as archeologists of the unknown and the series is pretty good. Weird but good

I will probably end up buying the graphic novels if I can find them as the series is that good to me

Other Comic Collections by Git Corp

Includes fantastic 4, The Avengers, and X-Men
Great if your a comic collector and willing to pay for the entire collection

One thing I wish they did was to scan each page seperately rather then 2 pages of the comic at a time like they did Of course I can see why they did that since later on most comics would have a tw page spread and would mess up the story line

I so want the other 2 dvd roms in the collection of the Avengers and Fantastic Four but with be holding off on those
