I just had to share this with you guys 'cause it's so silly. At least to me.

While moving the truck and unloading some horse feed I went to close the tailgate and the latches froze up. Running out of daylight to fix it I did the next best thing to work on it.

Well the tail gate does add wind resistance, causing trucks to burn gas with it up

Did you put it back on?

The epoxy still needs to dry. I have hay to get in the morning so I'll put it on then. Until then, every time I walk back there... There it is! I just had to take a picture.

I don't see the problem or why you needed epoxy?

The guard around the latch handle. The clips on top had snapped and it wouldn't stay on. The frozen latches were taken care of by liberal applications of liquid wrench. Works fine now.
