This is so sweet, I had to pass it on to special people.
Dear Lord,
Every single evening As I'm lying here in bed, This tiny little Prayer Keeps running through my head.
God bless all my family Wherever they may be, Keep them warm and safe from harm For they're so close to me.
And God, there is one more thing I wish that you could do, Hope you! don't mind me asking Please bless my computer too.
Now I know that it's unusual To Bless a motherboard, But listen just a second While I explain it to you, Lord.
You see that little metal box Holds more than odds and ends, Inside those small compartments Rest so many of my friends
I know so much about them By the kindness that they give, And this little scrap of metal Takes me in to where they live.
By faith is how I know them Much the same as you, We share in what life brings us And from that our friendships grew.
Please take an extra minute >From your duties up above, To bless those in my address book That's filled with so much love.
Wherever else this prayer may reach To each and every friend, Bless each e-mail inbox And each person who hits send.
AMEN

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools
and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings... An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life."
"No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked.
"Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of." And that he did. Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved his life this time? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill. His son's name?
Sir Winston Churchill.

While in England, I went to the small village of Woodstock. There we took a tour of Blienhame palace. This is where Churchill was born and grew up. Then just a ways down the road is his gravesite. A wonderful experience that I will always remember.
(I don’t remember how to spell the name of the palace, please forgive me I’ll look it up later.)

Did you know that it is suspected that some of Churchill's wartime speeches, including the famous "fear" monologue, might have been broadcast by a sound-alike imposter? It was all radio then, no pictures. They did that so the masses could hear a leader speak while keeping him safe from assassins.
They used the same detective procedures they use to identify Osama on some of the original tapes made at the BBC.
I did not know that, but it makes sense....I love learning that kind of stuff.
