I dood it while the various bureaucrats hemmed and hawed about my disabilities

They brought in something similar here. Most who have to do it complain that it's slave labour and should just get their benefits and be able to sit on their butts without effort.

They had a woman on the local news a couple of years ago. She had a couple of kids and sat on welfare. She made the statement that it was her job to have kids and the government's job to support those kids.

I've been p. o. ever-sense. Even thought about dragging her butt down to the zoo and mating her with an elephant. Then when she had that kid I'd help her get another. Only I couldn't find an elephant with low standards.

All I know is if I was starving and someone said I'd get a meal if I put in a hour sweeping up... Gimme the broom!

I am thinking along the lines of Techie communes. We could all have our own space and be allowed to volunteer for different chores. take turns and learn each aspect of running a major operation and feed ourselves as well. We could reinvent the hippie communes of the sixties. I know that Kris has a picture of Tral at one when he was younger

It's the money thing. If someone can't make money off of it, nothing will happen.

IMO - Neither system will work independant of the other.

In a communistic society, there is no incentive to work. It doesn't matter if you do a good job or not.

In a capitalist society, only the smartest/lucky get ahead and they don't want to pay for the dumb ones to eat or live.

So, you need a system with a lot of capitalism to encourage development and a tender touch of communism to take care of the poor.

Decided I want to buy some petunias for a small area of my yard. Doubt I'll plant much more but I know I need to do some major cleanup when it warms up. The back yard needs a dead bush pulled and to be rototilled we plan on getting sod.

I saw those flurries. I can vouch for that.

I like bulbs that bloom once and then go away until the next spring. Wild flowers too.
