I like to do a little Geocaching now and then you can check it out at Geocaching.com My kids usually go with me and even my says it's cool now that she finally went once. If you go to there home page you can type in your zipcode and see how many caches there are near you.

Bruce,
That is such an interesting hobby , as I looked into it a couple of years ago & just never got around to doing it .
What kind of GPS unit are you using?
I dont know alot abot them , but know they are making fairly accurate cheaper units today.
I seen where they can get it down to the exact square meter your in now.

How many caches have you located? And what kind of things do you leave?

I use a Garmin GPS 12 (it's my brothers). It seems to work good but I guess some of the new ones are better. I have found 14 so far but I don't get to go very often. There are 160 caches within 50 miles of my house, wow guess I had better get a move on it. I even have a box of my own called "By the rocks" located at N 41∞ 38.473 W 079∞ 41.092 it has been found something like 30 times. I have put numerous different things in the boxes I find, usually a couple of different things because my kids like to exchange things.

I had never herad of this before. It sounds really neat. My big thing would be so idiot putting a bomb in the cache and ruin the fun.

Ha it be cool to have something like that to see how close a person get and still unable to find the cache. That is depending on how well hidden it is.

The zip is right. Don't know when we would get to do that. I think I just started working seven day weeks now.

I'm not into looking under the snow for a cache either.

We will have to see if Lisa's new phone has GPS. It might have that now.

I thought that was different then what they use in a regular GPS device, or I could be wrong.

You people do have a lot of them in your area. A lot of the caches are fun for the whole family.

That's cool. It must be good if the Boy Scouts are doing it.
