Figured I'd take this time to start writing about FREE Stuff.
While I was updating all the computers in the house I realized that I haven't done a complete backup in a while besides time machine. So I ran SuperDuper http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html SuperDuper is free and makes a bootable copy of your Harddrive so if your internal harddrive goes south you can still boot up your mac into a useable partition. http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
The paid version is currently $27.95 and gives you the opportunity to schedule your back ups. The free version is fully functional but requires you to manually run Superduper. Superduper is not currently available in the app store.

Caffeine is a nifty piece of software available in the app store for free that prevents your computer from going to sleep or starting the screen saver. Caffeine puts an icon in your dock (which you can remove) and a coffee cup in your menu bar. This comes in handy when you need to run to the restroom and don't want back to a screensaver or black screen. This nifty app also can be used to stop the computer from going to sleep while watching netflix, hulu, or just listening to itunes.
