The Packers have many traditions. One of the neatest happens during training camp. The distance from the locker room to the practice field is between a quarter and half a mile.
Kids from all over town ride their bikes to watch practice. They wait outside the locker room for the players. Then the players ride the kids bike to the field before and after practice. All the players participate. (Except for a few pricks. Who soon learn the error of their ways. From their fellow players.)
Some players use the same bike everyday. Some pick a different kid every day. All the kids make out like bandits. Signed stuff from all the players and coaches. Jerseys, gloves, towels everything. There have been lifelong friendships built this way.
