Figure this one out------ America: the only country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed without eating, elderly going without needed meds, and mentally ill without treatment - yet we have a benefit for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations.

Yeah, I thought as much too 2dogs We can raise millions or more for other countries yet say piss on the homeless that we have here

In a way, I agree. But here, we have more charities and more government assistance in our worst times than countries like Haiti have ever had. But it flies more under the radar than something quick and traumatic like earthquakes and tsunamis in third-world countries. That's not to say that I don't think we need to spend a lot more time cleaning our own house before the houses of others; but the Haiti relief efforts are certainly the good thing to do.

Yeah , now if the people would actually get the help instead of being jacked up by soldiers I would totally agree with you Joseph

From what I saw on the news they were more a hindrance then a help by telling doctors to leave then denying it as well as leaving food and water in storage areas while the people starve and dehydrate

And adopt their children like we have a shortage of children needing a home here.

Hunger and thirst may push someone to steal. But those stealing ovens, refrigerators and air conditioners were already thieves.
We can not "rebuild" every nation in the world. Someone needs to know we are "broke" and need a little rebuilding at home.

I know. I loved Popeye when I was a very small kid and it came on TBS every afternoon. They played all the great classic cartoons every afternoon in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
