7 more today. One was uphill from the car to the hide and then up hill from the hide to the car. How do they do that?

Added one more today then the cold wind and rain drove us in. Does this make me a wimp?

Thanks, Mom would be so proud. Yesterday I went to one called "Flume slide. A small park in a small village with a pond. On one end of the pond is the flume with the water cascading down feeding a stream. Just beautiful. Unfortunately I thought Roz had the camera and she thought I had it and the dogs wanted a treat. No picturers. Maybe next weekend when Roz has to work I'll go back and get some pictures then post them.

Yesterday, I found myself in a county park on the northeastern shore of Lake Winnebago. The coordinates were about to send me to the top of a ski hill. I'm not a skier so I was surprised at how steep this hill was. I decided to leave the camera and binoculars in the car. Now remember I have had a series of heart attacks and the lungs are scarred up from pneumonia so I wanted to carry the least amount as possible.
Up I went and up I went and up I went some more. Almost at the top I was watching the GPS. I thought well its over there near that dead tree. The tree was only about 20 feet away. As I looked up the tree was broken off about 15 feet up, And there stood a magnificent bird. At first I thought it was an eagle but it had a bright red head. I think the bird was as surprised as I was. We just looked at each other. Of course the camera was half a mile down the hill in the car. Then by the time I dug out the camera phone the bird took off. I was so close I could heart the air move through its feathers. It flew only a few feet over my head caught an air current and was gone. I just stood there in awe. I knew I was going to like this sport.
When I got home I did some research and found what I saw was not an eagle but a turkey vulture.

Glad to see your having a good time with your new hobby . Be careful though ! Those things get huge , I seen a lot of them when I lived in Oregon as a kid. Some can get a wing span of 6 feet or more .

This was a full grown adult. Up here they are very rare. That's why I didn't know what it was. Glad it didn't carry me off to parts unknown.

Oh Dizzy,I am going to disagree with you on this-most of the animals in the woods don't kill you,not with a knife or gun. Now the animals in cities will.
