Comcast switched its free antivirus software from Mcfee to Norton and it has an option for macs too. I'm in the process of installing it now. Let's all hope this isn't a major mistake on my part.

The new X6 VirusBarrier is very good

Way back when I did a test on norton or mcafee and I don't see how mcafee stayed in business as it hardly detected any of the viruses I threw at it.

Panda on the other hand was great but as time went by they made the mistake the others made and added firewalls and spyware crap to their antivirus suite and made it and all in one protection suite which I hate

I'm not too worried about viruses on my mac. I'm very careful on what I click on and what sites I visit and I don't open emails I don't trust and I don't click on links even if I do. Its free so I figured I'd give it a shot. I heard I could be a carrier of viruses to windows networks so I guess I'm doing my part to keep the internet virus free. I have NOT noticed a slow down on my mac using it. The windows box has slowed down since Norton was added. If it wasn't free I wouldn't be using it. I'm not a fan of Norton usually. When I scanned it said I had no infections so I guess I must be doing something right or it sucks and can't find infections on mac.

Going through some old boxes I found a set of Norton Antivirus 3.2 3.5 inch floppies
