At least they hung him in private, inside out of the weather. I wasn't expecting that. I figured it would be outside in public so there would be no doubt. But the security needed to carry that off would have been horrendous there.

The way I understood it, the Iraqi's had Saddam on their own facility. The US military and reps were staying out of it after the handoff from US to Iraqi custody.

We Have 2 young men using parasails and snowboards and the wind to travel across the state. They are doing this to promote wind power. They say they are having fun but I am sure that the fun is over now that the temp has plumetted.

I quite often walk around outside barefoot, some shorts and a short sleeve shirt on whilst I talk on the phone. With it below freezing, my fingers and toes get cold at times but not too much to cause any discomfort. I suppose I have the tolerance to the cold from my working on the water, when I'd plunge knee deep in the water to work when there would be ice all around.

According to the article this ban will cover cell phones, games, and electronic devices in general.

I don't use my iPod while I am moving around in public areas. My sense of hearing is the most keen, and I feel like I need it to monitor the happenings around me. However, I think that is a choice that should be left up to the individual.

That said, probably some kid got hit while he was listening to his ipod full blast as the kids now days think its their God given right to step in to traffic and have all traffic stop to give them birth to cross

If they ban ipods while crossing, maybe they should actually ban cell phone use in cars while traveling as well and actually enforce it as well as I see so many idiots on those wrapped up in talking and not driving that its pitiful

Smokers' rights, to me, are ridiculous. People have the right to smoke on their own private property. In public, they have no way to contain the smoke so that non-smokers don't have to inhale it or smell it. They don't respect the rights of those who choose not to smoke, and many downplay the risk of secondhand smoke.
