I read where it costs extra for a built in phone deal for 3G service. It probably does if you get the 3g adapter for extra harold Else otherwise it supports wifi I heard that should be almost everywhere

Well we got an iPad on Friday after much discussion over possible uses and so far it's working well. The main thing we wanted it for was downloading maps for our four wheel drive trips. I'm still downloading a few different apps just to try them out. I don't know about over there but here we have prepaid 3G which means if we're in a remote area we still have the ability to email for help in an emergency. It costs $30 for 3gig As time goes on I'll update just how good it is.

Amy, The main thing I would use a tablet for is to play games or read books with. Currently I can use my computer to play games on and I have 2 e-ink ebook readers that I alternate using I tend to love the simplicity of the cybook over the astek ezreader
