I applaud Southwest. It's about time people parent their children and stop subjecting the public to bad behavior.

Why punish the child for the mother's lack of proper parenting?

Simple. The kids a pain in the ass now. When it grows up it will be an older pain in the ass. :-)

Why should they apologize to her? She couldn't control her rugrat. I think, just in case they become uncontrollable, parents should pack benedryl for emergencies. It's amazingly effective at safely knocking children out.

I would really enjoy a ban on small children flying. It's hard on the babies and it's hard on the rest of us who are locked in an aluminum tube and can't escape their crying. Delta's nonrev policy is that we won't get a seat in first or business class if were are taking a child younger than 8 with us. I wish they would do that for the paying passengers as well.

My grandnephew is at that age where he crys at the drop of a hat and refuses to clean up toys he got out and if I try to disipline him my folks think I am being bad to him.

Lucky my niece is finally cracking down on him but he is still spoiled

My cousin is due at the end of December, and I have every intention of putting him in his place if he needs me to. But I am pretty sure my uncle and his wife will teach him how to behave. If they don't, and if I have to correct him, they need not say anything to me. If he's going to be around me, he's going to behave.
