I need someone to help me pull the white background out of this image or give me a clue how to get started in photoshop. Thanks

I dont have photoshop installed , but what you would do is select all the black area and the copy that and paste it on a transparent background of the same size.

Indeed. I copied the entire image to a transparent layer. Then selected the white area and deleted it. Then the color white can be selected and replaced with a different color if need be. I also moved the ink droplet to give better contrast if a dark background is used.
