First album I ever bought with my own money was Thriller. Not sad that he died though. Just sad for his children.

It wasn't the very first one I ever bought with my own money but it was one of the first few. At least one of the first few and one that I listened to the most.

Every other kid in third grade had that album, but I didn't. I was busy listening to Van Halen.

So was I. Listening to that killer Van Halen solo on my Thriller album.

Just got done watching the memorial service and I was amazed by it. Jenni and I realized something through the entire event, that Michael Jackson, as strange as he was, never once had anything negative to say about anything or anyone. He was really a very positive person filled with love and innocence. Granted, he was strange and not a mentally ballanced person. But he had love and hope.

You can blame his upbringing for being unballanced.
You can blame his fame for alot of his public strangeness. Because, like one of his brothers said at the closing of the service, we take for granted the little things like being able to go to the store and cross the street because he couldn't do anything like that without being surrounded by a crowd. So he would go out in disguises. The media portrayed him as crazy for that but how else could he try to taste the life of a simple man?

He was childlike because his parents stole his childhood. He was strange because of his fame and his fans. But he was filled with love and truely wanted the world to be better and united in spite of our differences.

And can you believe he is still dead?

I highly doubt that he faked his death because it wouldn't be in his nature to cause everyone around him so much pain.
