We can post stuff here about the crazy things this president is doing. It's long overdue. Here's one of them I just saw this morning.

I feel Martin Feldstein is a good choice. His track record shows he already knows how to screw the tax payer, so he can skip the training classes and get right to work.

or maybe they blackmailed him into helping. Maybe they had the goods on him and decided to use it to their advantage.

Oh for good grief.

This is like when Joe Kennedy was hired to run the SEC, right after he made millions using the rules against the government. They thought he knows all the tricks, lets hire him.

I am seriously beginning to wonder about Mr. Obama. The thing I like the least is the amount of speeches. I voted for him to do a job, not to make television appearances.

Not only that but he can NOT have any speach without a teleprompter. You tell me what would've been said if Bush read all of his speaches from a teleprompter. The media would've had a field-day criticizing him for doing that. But not this guy.

Anymore the media seems to be in the pockets of the government it seems as very rarely do they report on the stuff we talk about here until it is already old news

I doubt much, if anything, would have been (or was) said. I'm showing my age, but I have seen every President since Dwight Eisenhower use a teleprompter. Some used them more than others and the current President seems to like the thing a lot, but honestly, if Mr Obama used cue cards like Ronald Reagan did (or index cards or a "hard copy" on paper) would you really be any more likely to agree with him?

It makes me question who's writing what is being read. Is the pres just doing the job of any basic news anchor and just looking good while reading big words? Or is he actually involved in what is being said?

The use of prompts doesn't bother me. To convey a lengthy message with any precision would require a very, very good memory. And most people, even bright ones, don't have that kind of memory.

I can't say who the current speechwriters are (I'm sure that info is someplace on the net), but since every President since Calvin Coolidge had one or more on the White House staff, I'm sure the current President does, too. (And no, I'm not old enough to remember Coolidge ) I'm sure President Obama is involved (I'm sure past Presidents were, too), but whether he just gives a broad outline or sits in with the writers is probably something we won't know until somebody writes a book 10 years from now.
