I needed a vehicle to get around in and pick up supplies for work so I bought an old broken down S-10 for $500 that needs some TLC. I will post pics later. So far I have put a new Battery in and ordered the right size tires for it. It needs a new exhaust system. I haven't had time to go over it fully yet but it runs great and will fit my needs.
Today I need to drive it to Bismark and pick up parking blocks for our driveway at the complex.I need to do it today and hope it doesn't rain cause the wipers don't work. It's not the fuse, and I suspect it is in the turn signal/wiper switch.
I have never been a Chevy fan so this will be a love/Hate project. I love bringing old cars back to life and wish it was a Ford. But I welcome the challenge.

Yesterday I drove it to Bismarck and thought I had /4 of a tank of gas. The truck ran out of gas and I had to walk two miles before a farmer picked me up. It was great exercise. Really put me behind though. I never though that the gas gauge would be off.

Got my new tires yesterday and the mechanic let me know that the brakes in the front were almost non existent. I picked up a raptor muffler yesterday and will install it this weekend.

well it took me more time to make a set of ramps to get the truck up in the air enough to get under it, than it did to remove the old clamp and the muffler sleeve. Wow was I lucky. I even replaced a headlight.
When I got divorced the first time, my ex decided that I didn't need my tools anymore so she kept them. When I went back and got them, she called the police and I had to return them. I had a lot of tools and that must have made her new boyfriends day. Now every time I need a certain tool for something like brakes or mufflers I miss them. I have to rebuild the garage first then maybe I can start restocking some of those tools. This truck will be a fun project. Brakes are next.

I've been on a one way road all my life Yeah, me to Gort, a "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. Is that S-10 a 2.8 or a 4.3 V-6?

Hey Dave! It's a 2.8
I spent the day working on the garage. A fairly large tree limb came down from the neighbors tree and was resting on the roof. So removing that took up about 2 hours. The roof is so rotted that it needs to be replaced. I was going to turn this into a garden shed but the plans for the big garage are on hold so I will have to strip the cedar shakes off and put up chip board for now, and work out of there.
