A local radio talk show guy, Phil Valentine is playing around with the bio-diesle thing. He bought a Mercedes Benz for $300 that he calls Benny. He had the work done to the engine that allows it to run bio-diesel and he got all the things you need to convert used cooking oil into bio-diesel. He's been running the car on it for a couple weeks and he says it's averaging about 78 cents per gallon. I didn't hear what he said the mileage was though.

I heard if your car is actually old enough you don't even need to modify it. Just pour it in and go.

yeah, welcome to the USA though. We had this discussion at school one time, about how the US is the most violent nation in the US, and how alot of people are scared of their own shadow anymore.

Ya know what alot of it is? TV...people watch too much news on TV, and think that is real life. Most people don't realize, what they see on TV is dramatized for television most of the time, or they see something happen that only actually happens in real life like in one in every billion people.

Take the internet as another example, That is why people hide behind their computers so much, people always hear the worst about people over the internet from TV, news, and other such things, and then they assume everyone is like that. Well, I can safely say 99.9% of the people in the world are not like what you see on TV. Its like watching judge Judy or montel or some other crazy show like that. most people either lie to make themselves look good for TV, or the networks pick the stories that get the most attention.

I mean think about it, if you turned on the news and saw a news program about your son getting a new dog for christmas, you would think "gosh this is BORING, this is our everyday life we don't need to watch this" and change the station...so what do they show? things that people want to see on TV....the killings, what stupid things britney is doing as a mother, which I am willing to bet almost NONE of it is true, because who wants to hear how good of a mother she could be. no they want to hear the bad stuff because its exciting.. well its the same with news, they wouldn't show it on TV unless they over dramatized it to make it sound exciting. The problem with that, is people here in this country believe everything they see on TV, so then they get scared and crazy like that. thats why I don't watch TV anymore, unless its like charmed or everybody loves raymond or star trek or star wars or something I know is fantasy. real life stuff I don't care to watch cuz I know its mostly fake anyway, or even if it does happen happens in 1 out of a billion. I mean who cares
