Tomorrow I am going to get 9megs download speed , and 1megs upload from Cox , I m taking a Vacation day from work ( because noting to do ) so I am going to return my 5 year old Cable Router , and get the new one to accept the new speed .........  That is if this friggin' white crap quits falling !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn-it it I hate winter !

Agreed, I find that most everywhere I download can't keep up with even a 3 meg download speed. A few can, but most are like sucking peanutbutter through a straw. But the ones you find that can keep up, are glorious.

Your upload speed : 241516 bps, or 235 kbps. So I went to work Thursday morning I think it was, the internet was down at my house. When I got home it was working, but a little too good I thought. Went to DSL reports and took a speed test. Sure enough, we got a little upgrade for free.  In the quotation box above is probably the last speed test I took. Here's the new one. I've waited a few days cause I wanted to make sure it wasn't a glitch, or something they were going to take back. It seems permanent at this point.

Haven't actually talked to anyone from the company, I think they may be dropping some of the lower end connection plans. Same maybe true with your dsl. Originally we only got 1.5 down, then it went to 3Mbits down, now we've gone to 5 Mbits down. This has been over a 5 year period we've been with them.
