We've done the eating-out-for-Thanksgiving thing, and it was kind of depressing to me. Of course, this year at home wasn't great either. If I didn't have a sick relative, I would've greatly regretted not going to Florida with a friend.

Mom just made this candy recipe today It's not bad She used a whole potato and just followed the recipe Make sure you keep it refrigerated after making it or it will get moldy quick i was told


POTATO CANDY

1/2 cup mashed potatoes
powered sugar
peanut butter

Combine 1/2 cup mashed potatoes and power sugar till is firm enough to roll. The mixture will become very wet; just keep adding powdered sugar. roll out on powdered sugar like noodles. Cover with peanut butter. Roll into jelly roll cut into small pieces. Very rich!

My Dad used to make that. It was his one and only cooking contribution to the holidays. He would use red and green food dye in the potato.

You can add a little Karo syrup to the peanut butter too.
