I'm not surprised. I just hope that she didn't decide to do this as a publicity stunt. It would cheapen the whole thing. I don't really think that she needs to generate more publicity. She's the richest woman in the UK these days, how much more could she need?

I never even liked the idea of the novels being turned into films. Granted, what I've seen of the movies have been good. It's just that movies are never as good as the book. Of course they aren't but I enjoy both. If I've read a book that's made into a movie I like to see how well they interpret the book.

Books are the original idea and movies are always an interpretation of that original. It's happened hundreds of times that the book is better for most people. I know I've felt that way lots of times.

Interesting news here: http://ukpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5hmDwDPt_RkEFxQ_PMv0Cxoahz3iwJK Rowling has admitted to "weak moments" when she could agree to write another book in the Harry Potter series. But it is unlikely that young wizard Harry would feature as the main protagonist in an eighth novel, Rowling said, adding: "Let's give it 10 years." Time magazine has placed Rowling at number three in its Person of the Year list. Rowling told Time: "There have been times since finishing, weak moments, when I've said: 'Yeah, all right' to the eighth novel. "If, and it's a big if, I ever write an eighth book about the (wizarding) world, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. I feel I've already told his story. But these are big ifs. Let's give it 10 years."

J.K. Rowling has penned a brand-new Harry Potter story which is being turned into a mini-movie. The film will be shown at a new theme park called The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. All the regulars, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are shooting the movie at Leavesden, Herts, before starting two films based on final Potter novel The Deathly Hallows.
