Have you ever read a book or series of books and you know the story line but you can't remember the title or who the author was? Well, I'm at that point and I was hoping someone here read it or can point me in the right direction.

It's a science fiction book dealing with humans, a cat species, and a lizard species. And another weired species somewhat controlling all three of the other species. Some of the cats are telepathic and somehow a male of the cat bonds with a female human and they are linked telepathically. The cats are allied with the humans and with them fight the lizards. The last book I read on this series. The lizard kidnapped the child of the cat/human couple.

For the life of me I can't remember any names of the books nor who the author was. Does my somewhat skimpy description seem familiar to anyone?

No, that's not it. The book I'm looking for is based off of the cat species point of view, not the humans. Thanks though
