Having gained a unwanted view of E/R's, I've noticed that "my" E/R Trauma Center (where the EMT's drag you) patient info computers are wireless. They're on carts rolled from gurney to gurney

In hospital the drug cart had a remote lock and patient drug doses The nurses station looked like a NASA mission control
