We will probably be upgrading this upcoming weekend. I'll be working the beta board first, then maybe a fresh test install somewhere, and then this production board.

I'll be adding the gallery forums as forum replacements where applicable and we will need to decide what to do with the older forums with the images in them ( webcams, photos, etc ). I might make a gallery as a subforum to the gaming forum.

A right sidebar will be added with thumbnails of the latest gallery images. We'll see how that goes. It could always get merged into the current left sidebar if that makes better sense.

One new deal is "mark all read" being added as a per forum feature. A few of you might like this one.

Many new improvements have been made with this version, so please give your input on what you think of what we have here.

That new Private Message count and bar graph of how many PM's I have is pretty nifty in this new upgrade

Is anyone besides me hitting reply to their Private Messages and having it Quote everything now? For some reason all my replies in PMs are now quoting folks when I don't want it too.

When I was using the phone this afternoon that was the case but it seems to be back to normal now.

I noticed it happen after I used the quote feature on an old PM but not sure if that is what caused the problem. After I quoted, I noticed all my replies being quoted now.

TOR said that the emails that the board sends out when he gets a new pm is full of code and not very legible. You may want to turn on this feature and send yourself a pm and see what he is talking about

Also when you search for something, you get this stuff at the top of the page..

I have the fix for the attachments not working in the posts of regular forums. I won't be able to ftp it in from home for a couple of days or until the weekend.

I also think the "in reply to" thing is permanently gone. The show flat and show threaded templates were merged into one to make other coding easier to do and I think that's the reason for it going bye-bye.

I hate these upgrades that seem more like downgrades.

There's one good thing about it when using the quick reply and not really wanting to reply to the last post. There's been plenty of misunderstandings in the past caused by the quick reply that way. This is also a private beta that we are working out the bugs on. I like the beta testing. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's a fun hobby for me.

The RSS Feeds may be messed up harold as they are only showing newly created threads and not showing when someone posts in old threads.

I'll clear the cache. If that doesn't do it, I'll report it as a bug. Or the RSS feeds might need to be rebuilt.

Another bug has also already been found. Clicking the Category link in the breadcrumbs throws an error.

Wow!!! I love what they did to the Who's Online page!!! Now it shows what people are reading and not just what forum they are in

Click the little icon next to a users name and you can see the second to the last page they were on. It's really useful with the anonies. It keeps the original referrer that brought them here. The admin logs have been reworked too. The logs are now stored in the database instead of a separate directory in the webserver. Feel free to take a look if you want.
