Got MS office through a promotion at work for 9.95 and have two authorized machines, I have it on my mini and Tom's macbook, seriously considering using my license on Toms mini. I don't use any of Office's features and its seriously taking up gigs of space on my hard drive. iWork does everything I need for home and I have MS office on my work computer.

I've really, really tried to like iWork, but it's just too simple.

For what I use it for iWork works. If I am doing something more complicated (which isn't often) I have my work computer that has office on it.

iWorks handles most day to day household things. Office is often something students need for the more complicated macros. I've rarely had iWork not work for something usually its a setting or something that needs to be changed then its all good. Office was slowing my computer down by constantly phoning home for updates and to prove I'm not a thief. Personally I really don't want anything microsoft on my computer. Most Microsoft products are like viruses that you intentionally downloaded IMO. I do have open office on my computer should I need it to open a file some windows user sent me.

This Java security update removes the most common variants of the Flashback malware.

This update also configures the Java web plug-in to disable the automatic execution of Java applets. Users may re-enable automatic execution of Java applets using the Java Preferences application. If the Java web plug-in detects that no applets have been run for an extended period of time it will again disable Java applets.

This update is recommended for all Mac users with Java installed.

For details about this update see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5242
