I have the 7600GT and it is more than enough. You can't get better than perfectly smooth so why spend the extra money on the 7800 or above? You'll be plenty happy with it.

CompUSA went out of business here. I sometimes wonder if they're going out of business here. I walk in sometimes and its so poorly stocked and understaffed that thats the only conclusion I can come to. Its been that way for about 2 years now, and they do seem to restock about once a month. I have the 7600GT and it is more than enough. You can't get better than perfectly smooth so why spend the extra money on the 7800 or above? You'll be plenty happy with it. They didn't have any more of the 7600GTs, and newegg seems to have taken them off the menu too. So I got the best 7600 they had, the GS OC. I'm not disappointed though comes overclocked from the factory. Core is clocked to 420 vs. 400 normal. Not much but it makes me feel like I'm getting a big bonus. LOL, I found out after I bought it that it had 512MB ram. Wish it had those clock speeds the GT has though. Its time to try out some games now.

Yeah, the 7600 is more than enough. Glad you're happy once more. As far as current DX9 games go that's all you really need for good frame rates. Now when DX10 is released that'll be a different story.

Going to get me one of these: <img src="http://www.haroldandrews.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Review logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard. Logitech: LogitechLogitech wants $80 for it, but I've seen it as low as $59 here. Finally broke down and bought one of these. Every character on the keyboard lights up in blue. "I like shiny stuff". Pretty, but now to give it the gaming test.

Wouldn't projection be cheaper? I don't see a price for that huge LCD...

I would think the cost would be comparable to a Runco front projection TV today , when I got big into Home Theater many years ago (18 years ago ) I wanted to go front projection but the Runco was the only company out there at the time and it was $30K . Sharp now makes a front Projection TV that was around $8K a few years ago . I would go LCD when this read projection 55" goes bad , but in 60" - 80" .

I was thinking rear projection, actually. Like a white sheet and a projector hanging from the ceiling for about $1500
