OK, haven't tried all my favorites yet, but the ones I've played with the new card so far have taken on a whole new dimension. I just thought Neverwinter 2 looked good before. I hit the auto detect and all the settings jumped through the roof almost. Same with Mage Knight Apocalypse.

Splinter Cell Double agent has unbelievable graphics. Wouldn't even run before. Can't wait to see what it did for HL2, or Doom 3, or Fear (speaking of which the expansion is out now), even gotta give Farcry another play with this card. Have to find out tomorrow though. Getting tired and I gotta work tomorrow.

Get that upgrade Trally, I wasn't lucky enough to be able to get one of the 7600GTs with the GDDR3 on it. But this one has 512MB of DDR2, maybe quantity sometimes makes up for quality. Can't complain so far.

I have the 7600GT and it is more than enough. You can't get better than perfectly smooth so why spend the extra money on the 7800 or above? You'll be plenty happy with it.

CompUSA went out of business here.

I sometimes wonder if they're going out of business here. I walk in sometimes and its so poorly stocked and understaffed that thats the only conclusion I can come to. Its been that way for about 2 years now, and they do seem to restock about once a month.

They didn't have any more of the 7600GTs, and newegg seems to have taken them off the menu too. So I got the best 7600 they had, the GS OC. I'm not disappointed though comes overclocked from the factory. Core is clocked to 420 vs. 400 normal. Not much but it makes me feel like I'm getting a big bonus. LOL, I found out after I bought it that it had 512MB ram. Wish it had those clock speeds the GT has though.

Its time to try out some games now. \:D

Reinstalled Doom 3 and the expansion last night. It looks awesome, the settings automatically shot to Ultra High Quality when I installed it. Half Life, has New life. Sin Episodes looks awesome, they all look great.

Your right, I'm happy. \:\)

Yeah, the 7600 is more than enough. Glad you're happy once more. As far as current DX9 games go that's all you really need for good frame rates. Now when DX10 is released that'll be a different story.

Logitech wants $80 for it, but I've seen it as low as $59 here.

Finally broke down and bought one of these. Every character on the keyboard lights up in blue. "I like shiny stuff". Pretty, but now to give it the gaming test. \:\)

Yep, it rocks. Performance monitor watches ram and cpu usage. Has a digital clock display you can switch to too. Can customize keys to any game so far.

Got an $80 gift card for Best Buy for X-mas, they had it on sale for $70. It makes a nice gift. Especially if its for me. \:D

My daughter accidentally juiced my last one. I'm going to try to disassemble it this weekend and clean it up. It was a $50 keyboard. If it works, she'll get a new keyboard. Just depends on how deep the juice sank in.

108 is the same as the width of a semi trailer. 8 1/2 feet. \:o

The article said it translates into 7 feet by 8 feet. Now thats a big screen. Supposed to be a lot more efficient than plasma screens. I'll just keep on dreamin. \:p

Ah, wait. My numbers are off with me being sick. 102 is 8.5 feet, the same as a semi trailer. Either way, that screen has got to be enormous. \:\)

Wouldn't projection be cheaper? I don't see a price for that huge LCD...

I would think the cost would be comparable to a Runco front projection TV today , when I got big into Home Theater many years ago (18 years ago ) I wanted to go front projection but the Runco was the only company out there at the time and it was $30K .
Sharp now makes a front Projection TV that was around $8K a few years ago .
I would go LCD when this read projection 55" goes bad , but in 60" - 80" .

I was thinking rear projection, actually. Like a white sheet and a projector hanging from the ceiling for about $1500

Front Projection takes a special screen to project the picture on .
