I e-mailed one of the news paper reporters and kinda gave him a bad time. He was contacted by some evangelical person and printed a piece of the story that sounded like people who say that they see Ufos belong to cults like Heavens Gate and crap like that. I don't think he will answer me because I told him he fell right into a trap and a good journalist would not have printed that crap unless there was a connection.

Well once again I watched Larry King and they put that idiot James Mcaffery or what ever his name is on to debunk the witnesses. Once again my blood presure rose. I am going to see if I can get on the next time and let him tell me that I did not see what I saw. I felt bad for the two women and the pilot.

I want to say he's an idiot. He's as sincere as a politician. Once he ran out of script he about piddled on himself when the Phoenix woman said it flew over her head. Personally I have seen flares. Both the kind used to confuse heat seeking missiles and the kind used for search. First as he said they were fired over the Gila Bend bomb rang. That is over a hundred miles from Phoenix. Your not going to see flares from that far away. Then when he told her she wasn't a trained observer I thought she wanted to strangle him.

Yeah I used to load flares in the AF. They would not drop those flares anywhere that the public could could be harmed by them, they are way to dangerous.

That trained observer stuff is a hoot. When I started to be an investigator for our local mufon. It was just like being in law enforcement. You have to be credible in order to be up on the witness stand. I know what it is like to have a defense attorney try to discredit you so that no one will believe anything that you say. Mufon investigators go through a lot of training to rule out any hints of not being credible. I could argue that "what agency decides what qualifcations make the standard of what a trained observer is qualified to testify to?" I e-mailed James fox a copy of our 2003 UFO report. It almost mirrors the stevensville incident.

Amy, Thanks for the link. At first it seems as if Newsweek is even part of the problem. Why can't people just accept that people see things that they can't explain. I guess you just have to be in their shoes to be able to understand that these people are normal people who saw something new to them.

I have to make a comment about why there are very few pictures. When the mind sees something that goes against all known data, it focuses on the sight and all attention is diverted to it. The thought of taking a picture is so far down the list of reaction that by the time that the mind allows you to respond, that the craft is now gone in 60 milliseconds. As far as the theory of the mind conjering this up. I just have one thing to say...Multiple Witnesses.

One of the theories circulating right now is that There is a specific reason that is so important that they cannot allow disclosure. Something disastrous would happen if the Government said OK we have been lying all these years to protect you. Here is the truth.

I think the reason the government tries so hard to cover up stuff is if they did not they would lose control of society. Think of how things would change. People would feel lied to all this time.

Then people would either be split on making friends or war with the aliens. Not to mention people suing the aliens for unwanted probings.

Yes I agree with you about society falling apart. This is part of the shift that is supposed to take place right now. Power is going to give way to ethics. I see it more and more each day. So I am thinking that the media should start asking the question

The media usally has there own agenda Gort. How often do you read about ufos or bigfoot in your local paper?

Usally I only see articles about the above stuff when there is some sort of mufon convention in town or a bigfoot hunters convention in town.

I know in the past, like the 70s and 80s that stuff was big news in our local papers and now the media just burys it's head in the sand about it.

It does not help that tabloids like the enquirer and other such crap are the only ones who report on such stuff and are usally full of crap
