Lisa called me last night while I was delivering my blocks and cranks. Lucy was crying in pain, and I convinced Lisa to take Lucy to the 24 hour vet clinic in Fort Wayne late last night. Lucy overate in the after noon and got food bloat. It all packed together in a big lump in her stomach. We left her there and she's on IV to keep from being dehydrated while waiting for the food to pass through. We should be picking her back up tonight or tomorrrow.

A $400.00 vet bill for a dog that pigged out.

Ack.

My poor Lucy. I hope shes feeling better. For $400 she should come home with a gold collar.

I have seen my sisters cat do something like that after a new cat was introduced to the house. Seems it gorged out on it's food and the other cat's food as well to the point of puking it all up later. That is the only way they knew something was wrong. Did you get any new additions that Lucy may think is competition?

No new additions. I just talked to the vet. They are going to give her some food and water around five or six this evening, and if that goes ok, we can bring her home later tonight.

us dogs don't always do the smartest things but we are worth every penny.
