I just got back from seeing Flags of Our Fathers. I expected "just another World War II movie," but I was very pleasantly surprised. It honestly shows the horrors of war and the demented, cruel, greedy nature of humans. Clint Eastwood directed the film, and I think he was successful in showing just how blind the American public can be by putting people on pedestals.

We went to see it today as well and it made me want to get all of the idiots who crank out the propaganda and turn them into decent human beings or dust. It was indeed a well made movie but it just made me angry that people are used and discarded so easily.

I'm with you on that....it seems that well made films hit us the hardest whether they be truth or fiction.
