I have an Amazon gift certificate for $50 that needs to be spent. I'm backed up on books. So, I am putting a hold on buying more. I don't need any gadgets/computer stuff. That leaves CDs. Since most of you know my musical tastes, can you give me some recommendations?

Some of the classic Jackson Browne Albums are nice as well as Eric Claptons Slowhand albume If you have an amazon account you can look up the Albums and listen to samples of the music to see if you would like it.

I like Jackson Brownes "Lives in the Balance" album. Also Pink Floyd is nice in my book but you may not like their stuff

I have the Clapton and Pink Floyd stuff. I'm not really a Jackson Browne fan.

Thanks!

Do you have Pink Floyd - Pulse (2006) on dvd as that is new ? Have you tryed Alabama? As for not liking Jackson Browne , I assume you based that on more then one song or album as he is multitalented.

Rod Stewart is good as well. Don't forget Cat Stevens as his best of Album is great.

I admit that I am basing my Jackson Browne opinion on one thing. I borrowed one of my father's Jackson Browne CDs and didn't really care for it.

I am considering Alison Krauss and Joni Mitchell.

This is a major drawback to having everything: when its time to buy something, there is never a thing I want.

Check out the Eddie and the Cruiser Soundtracks as you may like those as I did. I have both of them.

Also Check out Jackson Brownes Lives in the balance and running on empty. Also if you dont have it yet, U2's older albums are great to listen to.

Also Men at work was a goodie of mine too

How about Chris Rice....he's a good singer. Allison Krause is a nice choice. Oh and Trall with the Eddie and the Cruiser reference, a man after my own heart. I loved them and forgot all about them 'til now.

I've been considering a U2 album. I might just do that.

I have a taste for something smooth and folksy. I was stepping into uncharted waters when I bought that Hem album, but I've really enjoyed it.

I used to like their joshua tree album and war album. Never got in to their newer stuff much.

Peter Frampton has a new CD out called " Fingerprints " and its all instrumental , I heard 2 songs off it and sounded good , if your into instrumentals . They didnt sound real heavy like what i usually listen to Joseph , maybe iTunes will have it , and you can listen to some of it .
