This thread is for the Harold Star. It shall cover aspects of the paper.

Submissions; for anything related to articles, or anything else you wish to submit to be included in the paper. Be it on the front page, opinions, guest columns or secondary pages. If you are interested in something and can explain some of the finer points of it but don’t want to create an entire article yourself, post it here and we can include other submissions and we’ll wrap it up into one article or articles and give credit to each submitter at the bottom of the article.

Suggestions; to improve the paper or suggestions for topics of stories that you find interesting and want for us to do a story about.

Deadlines; to have a cut off point where anything posted after will be included in the next issue of the paper. Also a guide for any who may want to write something and want to have a predefined time to do it. Since this is new we’ll say by Tuesday 11:59am. That may change to a later or earlier time as we find out what is the best time.

Notice: We are going to start creating a new section every week or so where a topic will be defined for anyone to respond. We are taking suggestions for titles of that as well. This week will be titled "Before Harold's Place". Mainly dealing with your personal experiences with boards before Harold’s, such as Leoville. So if you want to write a little something about this then please do share here or you can pm me or send email to haroldstar@gmail.com

My suggestion for the paper

A photo of the Week area where readers can submit their best photos for inclusion in to the Harold Star Pictures should be sent full size to haroldstar@gmail.com and we will publish one full sized pic per week so people can print them out if they want

The pics must not be posted elsewhere at the time of submission. And should be sent full size so users can print them out if they want.

what size pics ? 1600X1200 ? because some emails wont take huge pics , or should we zip them ?

gmail will accept any size pics As long as you can send them gmail can accept them

**Looks at my digital camera*** Hey your in luck I can take 1 picture in 4 foot by 3 foot with my 1gig memory stick

I had my camera set to programmed mode and it was set to take pics at 640x480 Only noticed it today when kris metioned the problem

My camera has 4 settings , and 640x480 is the smallest size .

My lowest setting is around 1200 x 900.

If I have to do more than point and shoot the damn thing has too many buttons.

Almost forgot (yes I`ve had a scotch or two ), what about a member top ten song list for the week. If you have an ipod it makes it easy as it gives you the top 25 most played songs...less thinking for those of us having blonde days.
