My baby, my baby guitar, oh my sweet baby guitar that I've been playing since I was 4, is finally fixed up and back in business. I'm writing music and everything. Hell, I even got my friend who's got recording equip and a drumset... anyways...

I cannot seem to find anyone who wants to be in my band. I can't even find anyone to jam with (which of course is the first step in getting a band together derr). I've finally gotten in with the local music scene... I've even played with a few of the (good!) local musicians and they didn't think I was bad but.... I don't know, I don't get it...

How do I get it out there, how do I grab people? How do I snatch them up and say HEY YOU! you're mine! I own you now PLAY WITH ME! in the band of course... I mean I went so far as to learn to play sax and trumpet (kinda) and I'm working on learning to play organ next... I can play almost anything else... I mean I might even put my baby aside if I need to, to play another instrument... oh man, oh man oh man... its driving me mad!

advertise/ put up fliers at music stores .

All the music stores around here suck... just by the stuff they sell... anyone that would go in there wouldn't be the kind of people that I would want in my band hahaha...

Other then an add in the local paper , and word of mouth , thats about it , or post fliers at clubs that have live bands .

Well now my friend wants to do the band thing but we've tried it before and we get grumpy at eachother because both of us think the other has bad rhythm. So we each switch from drums to guitar back and forth and back and forth... He can only play ONE hip hop beat. I can't play his drums because 1) I'm a lefty drummer and 2) He has his drums set up wrong and they're out of tune and the snare oh don't get me started on the snare! UGH!

Therefore, I can't play rock guitar to a hip hop beat. And he can't play rock drums... period. I can't play his drums quite right and when I get a good beat going, he can't play guitar to the right rhythm. That's it... I'm bringing the trumpet over.

Worst part? We've had good drummers over who've told him that HIS RHYTHM SUCKS! He doesn't believe them. They've also told him his drums are set up wrong. He doesn't belive them. Oh well. We'll keep trying hahaha...

It's nice to just be able to play an instrument SM as looking back now I kind of wished I had learned to play an instrument good so I could jam with my Grandma and make her happier I instead studied art.

Oh.. someone actually did listen to it? I thought I was pushing my own 'listened to' counts up hahahaha.... Okay so now there are 3 people who's ears it does not hurt (if you aren't counting the bird squawking.... can anyone identify that bird? I can't...) There were quite a few chord transitions and timing mistakes in that song, as well as the fact that there's no ending (I chopped of the end with me complaining about uhhh i don't know how to end this song yet.... I didn't get that far blah blah) Sorry haha, I enjoy criticism and you were too nice so I added my own :P

Sounded good to me. Maybe you could hire TOR to be the drummer.

Okay my friend Scott's in... we've been able to work out the rhythm problem. Thank GOD. We're trying to start recording. I'm going to be trying to record the day after my surgery... Greg'll be mad hahahaha....
