I'm really not that surprised. It's not the first race he's missed this year. At least he didn't try to buy his way in like he did the first race he missed ... can't remember which one that was off hand.

But ... Paul Menard DID make the race ... yippee!! I'll have 4 drivers to cheer for. But I'll be cheering the loudest for Dale Jr since he has a (slim) chance to win the championship.

After this weekend, I'm not sure what I'm going to do to keep myself occupied. No racing. That's gonna suck!

I used to watch football. Then in 2000 I started watching racing. I haven't really watched football since. I've tried ... I just can't stay interested.

Football rules confuse me. I know they have 4 chances to get a touchdown, but the other rules.....I don't know.

Speed Channel is garbage since Fox took it over , same thing . It used to be about all type racing , not just NASCAR .

I've only been watching racing since 2000. But it seems like over the past couple years, unless you drive for Hendrick or Roush or Childress, you never get talked about. Guess you gotta drive for one of the big money teams in order to get tv coverage. I'm afraid that the network tv package is going to ruin the sport.

I didn't really pay attention during the commercials. That's when I mute the tv and listen to the MRN broadcast. MRN DID interview Martin Truex. That's why I listen to them during the race. They talk about stuff that happens that the networks can't even mention in passing.

Its the same in Indy & Cart racing , Only the teams with BIG money like Penske get all the TV coverage . But I will have to say Danika was a good thing for the open wheel racing as it was dyeing a slow death .
Plus when they split up the PPG Indy Racing , open wheel racing fell off the face of the planet , that WAS the racing to watch .
