That's because they spent more than $1.35 on the production values

Yes the little magic blue flashlight and the living plastic was a little out there. No, way out there... Though I find it funny that even the aliens in the future have a British accent. Plus after five billion years, I would think we would possess the technology to move the earth to another star. Of course they would have to be willing to move the planet. What's one planet compared to the thousands? Perhaps if they created a replica somewhere else that might be easier, but one has to think about the original. I'd rather like the original more. Plus if we are to keep relying on the monetary value system, we will die out as a people way before the sun were to die. That whole flat skin woman/boy whatever it was. Just a little out there. After billions of years, she.. It is only 2,000 years old? Come on, transfer your consciousness or something. Though they did say that it was a pure human. Perhaps there are other methods of extending the life of a person while also making people less human. I would expect people being able to create hosts by then. Or something. Still, if we were to regress and start over several times. Perhaps it's possible. I realize it is fantasy, but still. I'll have to watch some more to see how it turns out.

The reason everyone talks british in the series is explained in the 2nd episode if you watch You don't know yet, but the tardis and doctor are interwined and one of the things the tardis does is translate any alien language to english as it does with alien writing as well. You can read up on the series at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_WhoAs for the flat woman that was a good joke on vanity

On that thought, why not just create a doorway? If you don't really worry about space/time in the same manor, then why not? Create a frame about five inches deep and just have a door. One could open the door, walk in and that would be that... Then it would be as rather conspicuous, but if in any other time the police box is going to stand out as well.. I would make a device about the size of your palm, with no obvious access points. Perhaps us teleportation as a means to access it. One need only place it on the ground, push a little remote/button or perhaps sequence of buttons on the device itself or some other means of control and get teleportated inside. Then again, my plans on time travel differers somewhat.. Perhaps I'll go back and you'll see me on the show. Then again perhaps you already have.

I suggest folks who want the Doctor Who DVD set pre-order it now at This Link as if you do you save about $30 If it is like Amazon Canada expect the price to raise up as I ordered my copy from Canada for 87.49 and now the price to buy it there is 99.96 I expect the U.S. Amazon will raise prices soon as it officially ships as well.
