That would be terrific sithi, I have just completed my required training for both Girl Scouts overview and Brownies Age Level. I am going to take Ceremonies tonight and take my Medic First Aid course soon too. This weekend we are going to the Corn Maze where all the girls will earn participation patches, as opposed to doing a task for many days to earn their badge. I remember when I was a scout you always had to earn badges, there were not any participation patches.

I don't think they earn the other type of badge until they fly up to Juniors.
One of the more rewarding things we did in Brownies was establish a relationship with a local nursing home. We did things several times a year for them. I remember making springtime crafts to use as centerpieces in the dining room. Then we went one week to deliver them. I also know how to turn an old Reader's Digest into a Santa Claus.

This is the first time in many months I have heard of the famous tutu. Can the great spanking be far behind.

Well you have it half right, it is behind! How far the spanking is away I cannot say. A tutu ages like a great wine. We say timber, not pine..

Thanks Bruce, we are going on our first outing as a troop, it's a Corn Maze, the girls love it. I just hope we don't lose one, that would be a terrible way to start out the Girl Scout career.....my mom is going, just to be sure.

I was an Eagle Scout in boyscots for awhile myself, my best areas were swimming and canoeing.

Oh hey! Colleen, almost forgot, I'm getting my Bioptic Drivers License!

I got my lerners permit now, and have been taking drivers training since September 2005. I should have my drivers license by August.

When I do, I'm going to volinteer my time too. Not sure how right now, I was hoping to sign up for "Big Brothers/Big Sisters" but I haven't decided yet which organization to sign up for yet.

pretty cool eh? A visually impared licensed driver! ahhh!! hehe!
