His instructions were to write at least 8 pages. I always thought at least meant minimum. He should've been more specific and said write 8 pages.

Sounds like me in grade 8. My teacher wanted a creative short story, at least 3 pages on size 12 font, double spaced. I gave him 8, size 10, 1.5 spaced. He was like "WTF?" and I just grinned.

Well, my first day of NaNo is over. I got only 1390 words down, just a few hundred shy of the daily goal of 1667. I cut the tip of my ring finger Halloween night. Typing is a pain.

It's the sequel to that little Harry Potter drabble I wrote a few months ago. It probably won't be fit for other's eyes until I edit after NaNo is over.

6,194/50,000 words.

I don't know why I am here at the moment. I guess I need a breather from writing. I just saw at a NaNo lj that someone has already reached and surpassed 50,000. I am so not close.

*EDIT* I don't know how it happened, but Neville Longbottom became a major character in my story. I like Neville, so it was a pleasant surprise, but I hadn't even thought of putting him in the story.
