Well, I got it. Now what am I going to do with it? Guess I've got to get that computer fixed at work. I'll be on vacation till the 19th. So I won't get to play with it till at least then.

Hope that machine at work has 1 gig of ram or more

I got it and burned it to DVD. This is the opening screen when you put the disc in when already in Windows. It looks like you can begin the install while already in Windows.

Why don't they be comical with it? Put a cartoony Grim Reaper touching the screen of the computer saying "I vow, this computer is dead. Reboot now!

I've got it all installed and so far I am liking it. It is very organized and very nice looking. I'll post pics as soon as I get PSP loaded back up. But it installed right from Windows XP. No need to reboot from CD. And it backs up everything from your current install for you so you don't have to format over it all.

The install screen for it looks pretty

Very mac like. No doubting that. Even to the point where it won't play my games properly.

When you hover the mouse over one of the items in the task bar it'll pop up a thumbnail of what it is.

When you maximize one of the windows it'll twist, bend and fade into place.

Every window, when not maximized has a textured glass appearance that is transparent and it blurs anything on the desktop behind it.

Click on All Programs and it doesn't branch out to the right like it did before. Your program choices stay inside the start menu and displays like Explorer does.

A really cool tool that has been added is called the Snipping Tool. This will allow you to highlight any area of your desktop, whether it's got an active program window or browser up and running, at it will take what you highlighted and open that up in a paint program for easy saving.

This is your system properties when you right click on My Computer. Vista rates your hardware configuration and apparently mine is a 4. Out of what, I don't know.

The GUI is certainly a copy of Aqua on Mac OS X. It's just a flashy, cheap-looking knockoff. Vista doesn't seem to have a startlingly new and useful set of features.

Not really, no. And so far, I am unimpressed with it's current compatibility with games, drivers and certain programs.

IE is better. The Start Menu and Explorer are better. But that's about it right now.
