I sure like the looks of it , I had the 9.0 Desk top version .
I think Novell bought it and its now up to version 10 .

It's actually preferred by some of the purists who don't need all the extra bloatware. Slack is supposed to be a fast and sleek OS that can work well with older systems.

Yes, Slackware is extremely fast compared to Fedora/Red Hat. I reinstalled Red Hat on a system for some testing and I stopped using the machine. It was just too slow.
