I just got a chance to watch Firefly and.. It's very interesting. Not sure why I waited so long to see it, I'm going to go try to watch it again to see if I like it as much as I did the first time. The movie Serenity is also coming out September 30, 2005, and comic books are supposed to help the transition from the television show to the movie. Then there is Scifi who is picking up Firefly and rearing the shows, starting July 22, in their entirety and in the order Joss intended. Thus four hours on Scifi Friday. Firefly at 7, Stargate SG-1 at 8, Stargate Atlantis at 9 and Battlestar Galactica at 10.

I searched the site for firefly but didn't find anything new about the show, thus wrote what I wrote because of that.

For some odd reason I tend to start liking shows toward their ends/already end, or just when they are about to start up again.

That's how I got to watch it, over a few nights and one great thing about it is that it draws out a range of emotions in you in such a short span of time. "The Message" was a memorable one as Joss was saying goodbye to the show with that episode. I don't want to give anything away to you, so I'll not say anything but Haha. Sometimes so freaking funny.

I was searching google and I happened upon something I had almost forgot about, I wonder if you remember. http://trallyus.gedekran.com

Yep I remember that webpage

The episodes of firefly I have seen so far is Serenity part 1 and 2 - the train job - bushwhacked - shindig - safe - our mrs. reynolds - jaynestown

My favorite so far is Our Mrs. Reynolds

The message is on dvd number 4 with heart of gold and object in space - All three of those along with trash never aired

You would like that one wouldn't you. I got to admit that when she started quoting her "bible" I was like, damn.. Where can I get a copy of that one.

The next episode, "Out of Gas" is pretty good. On the Serenity part 1/2, when the captain tricks the doctor and Joss tricks us into believing the maintenance girl is dead. The music in the background, the slowing of time and just the way he did it. Was so great I couldn't stop laughing when the truth was revealed.

A fly in hand is always quicker than a fly in the bush.

I have to admit, I downloaded the entire season while I was up in Jersey and put it on my iPod until a week ago. It wasn't full quality but good enough to enjoy the show. After watching it, I went and just bought the dvd last night.

I wondered how you were seeing more of the show then I have seen I thought maybe you either downloaded them or something like that since the sci-fi channel has not shown the entire series yet that I know of

Glad you like it

No, I mean I have only got through half the series so far There is stuff on the dvd, besides the 4 un-aired shows I mentioned earlier.

They put all the extra stuff on dvd 4 3 beind the scenes featurettes, deleted scenes, Alan Tudyk's audition, Joss singing the "Firefly" theme, and a gag reel

Besides the 4 unaired episodes I have yet to watch, I have yet to watch out of gas, ariel, and war stories as well as the extra stuff but I am pacing myself

I didn't pace myself and watched it all in three nights.

Did you watch any of the shows with Joss commentary? I can't wait to see how it looks. I had a 352x216 version, so the dvd shall be great. Plus all those extra features.

How much did you pay for the dvd?

It's actually a set of 4 dvds I think it was like 50-60 bucks as I got it around Christmas time as a gift There was one episode I remember that I watched where the doctors sister interfaced with the ship and it was so good, that after I saw that , I had to get the whole series as I could not remember how she did that as I thought she was not human at that point.

I am not sure if this memory was from the firefly series as my brain is swiss cheese , but I thought at one point she was hiding in the ship and controlling it while people were hunting her. Now all this makes me want to pull out the other 2 dvds and start watching them

Darn you!!!

I really like how they show at the start of the show the almost end where you have to figure out how it ended up like that, then show how it progresses up to that point while also showing glimpses of the present progressing toward the ultimate outcome which happens at the end.
