One of my favorite Mystery Science Theater 3000 lines came during the movie City on Fire, when, as a woman is gong into labor, Crow T. Robot yells: "Get a catcher's mitt!" It's hard to believe that it's been eight years since MST3K was canceled on the SciFi channel; but for about four hours during the Olympics, it was back. Kind of.

THINK YOU HAVE issues with your mother? Alexis Stewart, the only kid of domestic doyenne Martha Stewart, has you beat. Sure, the younger Stewart loves her mom, but that doesn't keep her and co-host Jennifer Koppelman Hutt from poking fun at her old TV segments on the new Fine Living Network show "Whatever, Martha!" (Tues., 9 p.m.)

» EXPRESS: Who had the idea for this show?
» STEWART: It was Martha. She can't sleep at night, and she stays up watching "Mystery Science Theater 3000." She said, "You girls should do this." And there's nothing more fun than making fun of your mother.

» EXPRESS: The vintage clips are hysterical. How are they chosen?
» STEWART: The show producers choose them.

» JKH: Yeah, that way what we say when we're watching them is fresh and unscripted.

» EXPRESS: What's the easiest thing to make fun of?
» JKH: When Martha has props, it's sometimes really funny. In one clip, she was exercising with a Persian cat on her back. So we called it a [censored] party!

» STEWART: I love that one. And I think it's easier for Jennifer to dart it off when she's making fun of my mother. I don't necessarily feel comfortable saying, "That's a nice Persian [censored]."

» EXPRESS: What else do you target?
» JKH: Well, some of the things Martha does don't seem humanly possible. And then, in some older segments, things seem dated. We've done some laughing at hairstyles.

Ha! And now neither do I!

As of tonight the Mystery Science Theater Project is done. Every S-VHS recording I have is now duped to DVD. I have a few tapes left with duplicate recordings and I'll dupe them off if they are better quality than the ones I already did but the episode count is done. I need to organize them and inventory by episode numbers. I know it's not complete but it's a huge chunk of the show's run. And perhaps a few missing episodes can be found on used DVD's. That's how I got my copy of #515, The Wild World Of Batwoman. Oh yeah, that one is way bad...
